We continue to go on fun adventures while daddy is home on medical leave.
Honestly, having Mike home on disability has been such a blessing.
Ever since we had kids, Mike and I have been tag teaming and working opposites to make things work.
We don't do a baby sitter so when Mike worked days, I worked nights and now that he works the week days, I work on the weekends.
We have been taking advantage of all of our days together. On this day we decided to go to Palm Springs.
I forget how beautiful it is down there and how close we are to it.
I am so greatful to live near so many beautiful places. I keep thinking that one day we won't live in beautiful California so, I want to take full advantage of its beauty while we are here.
This place was such a gem and totally kid friendly.
The weather was warm but not too hot and it was a little bit cloudy which is nice when you are in a desert.
The hikes were short and perfect for the kids to walk and explore and play in the water.
Little creeks are always a win with these kids.
I love watching my kids play outside more than anything.
The Indians have such beautiful lands. I try to think about what it must've been to live here and live off the land.
These palm trees were massive and provided the perfect shade.
It was a little windy and with Annie, we decided not to go on a full on hike to keep the sand away.
Lilah found this little house to hide from the wind.
This palm tree grew at a weird angle. It was pretty cool looking.
These palm trees were very unusual. Usually palm trees are skinny on the bottom but these were cool and different.
There was this split in the rock where you could drive your car through. It was pretty cool.
We were going to go to a museum after wards but decided to call it a day and grab some dinner. With inflation, prices have really sky rocketed so eating out is definitely a treat.
Yummy, messy burger.
Feeding session with Annie in the car.
Lilah loves taking my phone away. I always find these gems.
Annie has the most polite cry. It's almost cute. She sounds like a little kitty meowing when she wants something. But then if she doesn't get her milk she will use her lungs!
My friend Tao came over the other day and brought us some gifts because I had done him a small teenie tiny favor. So sweet of him.
He even got the kids stuff too.
David was loving this water board.
And he got the kids a little camera. So sweet of him!
