Snow Canyon

There's so many awesome places in Utah! We have yet to discover so much. It is so beautiful and has so many outdoors stuff to do. Mike and I love the outdoors and try to take any opportunity we can to discover a new place. On our way home from Utah we decided to give our butts a rest and make a quick stop at one of the many parks in Utah.
We stopped by St George and took a detour to Snow Canyon to stretch our legs and walk around.
I couldn't get over the red rocks, it sure makes for pretty pictures.
I love sharing adventures with my favorite partner in crime
We hung out at Snow Canyon until we were ready to jump in the car again.
I still have The Arches and Zion's park on my Must Visit List. Maybe next time when we have some more time. Can't wait to go back soon!

Midway Ice castles

On one of our many trips to Utah this winter, Mike and I went to see the ice castles. We had originally wanted to go during Christmas time but on our way there realized that they weren't open yet. We were kinda bummed that we weren't able to see them since it looked like such a cool place to visit. Since we had to go back up to Utah a couple of weeks later, we stopped by Midway and got tickets to see the ice castles. It was so fun that my cousin, Anabel, and her family were able to come with us. It definitely made for an even better night.
On our way there, I couldn't get over how beautiful the mountains looked.
We bought tickets around sunset time because I thought that'd look really pretty. I had also seen pictures of the castles at night time and decided that would be the best of both worlds. The sunset was the most beautiful backdrop behind the castles!
I had no idea what to expect. I couldn't believe how cool it was when we got there.

It was like we were going to visit Queen Elsa

I hadn't seen my cousin in a while so it was great being able to hang out with them. I don't think we'd ever done that before so that was a real treat!

They had a light and music show playing inside the ice caves and the lights shined and looked so pretty reflected on the ice
I read that a couple of guys get together and started this kind of as a hobby. One of the guys thought it'd be fun to build a skating rink in the back of his house for his kids to play in. Then he built an ice castles, and now he's building ice castles in different states. So much creativity!

When the sun went down, it was really magical! They had an ice slide for the kids to go down, a fountain in the middle, and Frozen playing in the background.
After the ice castles we went and warmed up with my cousin's family and got burgers and hot chocolate. It was the perfect treat. We had an absolute blast catching up with them. I'm so glad we were able to visit such a fun place. It seems like Utah is the place to be when it comes to adventure. We definitely need to hang out with my cousin more often and catch up with her cute family. Maybe next year I'll have my mom come with us and explore the Midway Ice Castles.
