66rs Game

Baseball season has begun! At the hospital they had advertised the 66rs game and how all the proceeds would go to a cancer foundation. Of course I had to go and support my oncology unit. Little did I know we had to buy the tickets from someone in the oncology department beforehand so the proceeds could go to the cancer society, woops. It was the thought that counted.

You cannot watch a baseball game without some hotdogs and nachos in hand :)

It was such a beautiful evening for a game.

Bernie, the team's mascot, sure kept us all entertained and laughing through out the game

Another thing we love about the 66rs games is that they really make it a family outing. Through out the entire game they have little contests where the kids can participate. Like this one was that they had to put an Oreo cookie on their face and without using their hands, place it into their mouth.

Love date nights with this boy

My handsome :)

Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival

This weekend Mike and I went to the Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival. I had heard about it from the secretary at work and I've always wanted to see hot air balloons up close. She said there would also be bands, food and games for the whole family so I definitely wanted to go and see what all the fuss was about. We decided to leave early. The balloons festival would start at 8 and we got there a little before 7. When we got about a mile down the road from the festival there was hundreds and hundreds of cars, I couldn't believe how many cars were lined up to go in. I was so worried and sad  that I would miss the balloons being lit, after all that's pretty much why we drove out an hour. When we finally parked I pretty much jogged to the entrance. We got  there just as the last 2 balloons were going up. It was so cool to see those ginormous balloons being inflated.

As the night got darker, the balloons looked so colorful.

One day we'll have to go on a hot air balloon ride.

I was so happy that we were able to make it on time, it was so fun to watch.

I love this picture of all of the balloons being lit at the same time. That morning about 5AM they had a balloon launch and there were a lot more balloons, but we would've definitely not made it in time for that one.

We also went and checked out the band that was playing that night. I thought the guy was a great singer

They also had a lot of food stands, plenty of delicious, fattening foods to choose from

We had such a great time that night. So glad we got there just in time to see the balloon festival.
