July's Act of Kindess

For the last week of July, we joined Marcia and the kids for their 8 year old trip at John's Incredible Pizza.

Lilah loves hanging out with Jane, Caroline, Odin, Ridge and grandma.

3 month old David

Lilah has been emptying every bag of wipies she can get her hands on. I swear she always finds them no matter where I hide them.

Lilah gave David a baby doll and he was happily chewing on her head.

For July's act of kindness we went to the laundromat and filled the washers and dryers with quarters.

It doubled up as a fine motor activity, hehe just kidding!

Lilah's naughty meter has been through the roof. I cannot keep up with this 2 year old. She can get into every baby lock around here.

The other day Lilah was sick and man, I definitely enjoyed the one slow day we had. This girl decided she would stop napping this month and it has been rough!

My poor baby. But she looks so cute.

Lilah is in a bag phase where she scoops up all the toys she can find and puts them inside a bag. I love it. Helps me clean around the house, ha!

So. Dang. Cute!

David sucking on his tongue while he sleeps.

Silly Lilah in her doll crib.

Lilah likes soup. Can you tell?

Lilah's Ear Surgery

This girl's surgery date has finally come! I shouldn't call it a surgery though, it's just a process but she will have to go under with some gas.
My sweet, sweet sister in law Katie came down to take care of David while Lilah and I went to the surgery center early mother.
She was NPO since midnight and I was worried she would wake upin the middle of the night but she didn't. She didn't even ask for water in the morning which I was grateful for because I was going to be sad about having to deny her food if she was hungry. I guess that's the reason little kids are first in line.
Here's the cutest little patient.

The nurses couldn't get enough of this cute girl.

Thankfully she was in good spirits while we waited for the doctor to come in.

Finally the time came for Lilah to be taken back. It made me sad to see her little face as the nurse scooped her away. I could see that she was worried and wanted her to know that it would all be okay. Apparently she put up a little fight, in true Lilah fashion, while they put the gas on but then went right to sleep.

Here she is after her procedure. She asked for water and the nurse gave her juice. She sipped that juice right up and then asked for another.

She was still loopy and kept falling over. The nurse had warned me about this but I guess I didn't really believe her because I let her sit in her gurney and she fell back towards the rail.

Here we are heading home. She slept the whole way home.

After meeting up with my sister in law, she kept David for a little while longer so I took a nap with Lilah. Later on Lilah looked well and I decided to take her to the library. It was a great decision because no-one was there. It was the emptiest it's ever been so she got to play all by herself quietly.

And this little dude, doing what he does best.

For the last day of library time they brought a juggler.

I told Lilah to pay attention to the front because she was being roudy and she walked all the way to the front! Haha! She was just standing up there like, here I am!

We ended up leaving early because she wasn't very interested so we went to grandma's house instead. Lilah loves going over to grandma's. That's where all the fun toys are at.

I love these two smiley babies.

David loves to give me little massages while I nurse him. I love feeling his little hands on me.

Lilah will sometimes see David with a binky and go take one of her old ones out.

Lilah helping me clean behind the toilet. I mean if she wants to help out so badly...

2 years 7 months

This girl learned how to turn on the hose and it has been a big watery mess every day. She is so naughty when she's outside. She usually puts food in the dog's water bowl, or empties out their water bowl or jumps in the bowl and splashes all the water out.

Thank goodness for bath time.
