San Diego Safari Zoo

Mike and I both work weekends which is hard because most of the fun stuff happens on the weekends BUT we both have Mondays off, so Mondays have become the new date night. And it works great because everywhere we go there are no lines and not alot of people, Because what kind of crazy people go out on a Monday night.. WE Do! :D Today we decided to go to the Safari Zoo. I had gone back in April with my mom and bougt Mike and myself annual passes. The weather was nice and, like I said, not alot of people waiting in line. The Zafari Zoo is so chill, you go watch the Elephant show, feed giraffes, go on the tram around the park and no pushing and shoving of peoplewe were waiting for girrafes to get there and tooks pics meanwhile they made their way towards us the elephants didnt want to make their debute for the show so we had to go and take pictures of them out by the pool the lion's were posing :) Fun day at the zoo, we'll have to bring some nieces and nephews next timey BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. Princesses

This past month we had the opportunity to go with our nieces and nephews to Disneyland. It was Gracie's and Millie's first time and they were excited. Ga dressed them like little Princesses, they got lots of comments even just going into the park
The kiddos were all so well behaved. It was a great Disney day, even the weather was perfect
This was the girl favorite ride!
Mike and I had such a great time, thanks Ga for inviting us! BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop

Butter

We have a new addition to our family! We LOVE this little fella.. One Sunday afternoon I told Mike i wanted a puppy. We had talked about it for a couple of weeks but never really decided on it 100%. Sunday night we looked at different dogs and decided on a little Golden Retriever. We wanted a dog big enough to go on camping trips with us but also a friendly dog that would be loveable towards our future kiddos. A little Golden sounded like the best choice. Monday morning i made a comment again to Michael and he began to look on Craigs list.. By that afternoon we had a puppy! Someone had put a picture up of a little Golden puppy about an hour before Mike called and we were the first ones to respond. Apparently the girl was moving to an apartment and couldn't take care of him. Everything worked out perfectly. He was so small he fit right into my arms. We had to make a quick drive to the pet store because we had nothing ready!
This little boy has stolen our hearts and he sure loves us right back. He's well behaved (for a puppy) and super smart. It's been alot of work raising him and give him lots and lots of attention but i wouldn't have it any other way. He's growing up way too fast and i'm looking forward to seeing him become a healthy, beautiful, and well ibehaved pup. We love you Butters!

Beach

Mike and I haven't been able to see much of each other lately because we're both working and going to school.. But when we do, we make sure to get away. One of our faves is doing little gettaways to the beach.. We love living in SoCal.. I can't imagine not being a car ride away from the beach.
Mike and I decided to take the bikes down to the beach and rode for about an hour and a half. When the sun started to set.. We camped out by a bon fire and had sandwhiches for dinner and s'mores for dessert. I love spending time with this boy.. There's so much that we still need to learn from each other, we giggle, we eat, we snuggle. I wished we had more time to do stuff but it makes it that much more special when we do :)

New Year 2011

This New Years Eve I had to work. That's the bad thing about working at a hospital, Patients don't take holidays from being sick. Oh well.. double time made up for it.. I guess. Since I got out at 11 I came over to mom and dads to meet with Mike. We watched the New Years Eve count down in NYC and ate snacks.

Christmas 2011

Christmas this year came by all too fast! Between trying to stay on track of things at school, YW, and work, i didn't prepare as much as I would've liked to. Mike started the christmas spirit by putting up the lights with Joel. I thought I took a picture of that but I don't know where it went on my phone. This year we went to celebrate with my moms side of the family. I wished I could be in two places at once but unfortunatly there's only one of me.

This year we started Christmas Eve Day by making tamales, our family tradition.

Later on that night some of us opened presents so we could wear them that night:)

Then we got all dolled up and headed to Mexicali to meet my mom's side of the family.

There, we hung out with family, ate, laughed, ate, blew fireworks, hung around the bon fire, oh and we ate some more.

Some of the little kids opened some presents. I love little kids opening presents from Santa and how excited their little faces are. I can't wait for the day Mike and I get to play Santa with our kids.

Mike and I had a very fun time together. I love how great he is with my family and how he tries to talk spanish with them. My family loves to use their English skills with him.

We counted down to to midnight and at 12AM we yelled "Feliz Navidad" and ofcourse we did the Mexican thing and all shared hugs with all my aunts and uncles.

We decided to come home shortly after midnight so we wouldn't make so much time at the border. We only did like 30 minutes, it was a world record. When we came home and opened the gifts under our tree.

Mike and I came back Sunday and hung out with Ann and Elizabeth's families. We were able to be part of the nativity with the little ones. Oh man was that funny, I mean I mean, very spiritual.

Evan and Gracie made a very cute Mary and Joseph. Millie made for a very..Energetic lamby. and then the rest of the kids joined in with the fun. I love the Nativity Tradition :)

I'm so thankful for this past year that i've had to spend with my wonderful husband. The longer we live together the more deeply I fall in love with him. I'm grateful for the amazing family I have and the amazing family I married into.. Talk about being lucky. I'm thankful for a year of Health and Happiness and I hope that this next year will be full of news like the past year has been. Merry Christmas!!
