Marcia got married! Her love story came unexpected just like every good love story. We are all happy she found such a kind companion to spend the rest of this life with.
For her wedding weekend we all went to play in Whitewater. Everybody was in town so Lilah got to play with all of her cousins. It's always rare and such a treat to be around each other.
The day of the wedding was a good morning. The babies were good, everyone was on time and the day was beautiful. We had, had terrible wedding all month, but of course that day, the sun shined beautifully and the outdoor wedding was able to happen.
Marcia said everything about this wedding had been a miracle, so why not the weather.
(Delicious cookies from the party)
The sealing that morning was beautiful. I remember Marcia asking if it was ok that the grandkids called Doug "grandpa" She was worried about disrespecting Walt and trying to take over for Doug's wife. The sealer said "No one asked me to say this but I feel like I need to say it. Everyone in this room should et these two feel their roles as grandpa and grandma" It was definitely an answered prayer. He also said that there were spirits in the room that were very happy with what was happening. They both got tears in their eyes. I think there was a little bit of a sense of guilt getting married for the second time. The sealer did a wonderful job at making them feel at ease and we all ended with feeling of happiness at the end of the session.
After the session, we went home for a while and then headed out to the backyard wedding. It was laid back just like Marcia wanted. It was still beautiful and everyone had fun.
Lilah loved hanging out with her cousins and looked so beautiful in her dress. The photographer kept taking pictures of her because she is just a gorgeous little girl that I get to call mine.
The food was so yummy too. Marcia had a taco truck and we had delicious cookies for dessert. Everything about the day was perfect.
That weekend we got more cousin time. Here are little Joseph and David. I love that they get to be cousin friends.
The rest of the days went back to business as usual for us. I love that I get to go to work but also stay with these two most days.
Valentines weekend pictures.
For Valentines day, Lilah got to take goodie bags for her friends at preschool. She LOVED opening up all of her goodies and wanted to eat them all at once.
She definitely has a sweet tooth like her daddy.
That month, Lilah also got a second round of hearing tubes. I guess the first ones fell out. We are still trying to figure out why she only babbles. I know that she can't hear but to find the extent of her hearing loss has been a challenge.
There are not very many pediatric ENT offices, so the wait for an appointment is about half a year. Every time we have gone, the girls say Lilah is too wiggly and that we can't get answers and to try again. It has been so discouraging not to be able to help Lilah out.
Here we are at Chic fil a. I loved watching Lilah open the door for the little kids. It makes my heart so happy to watch her make good choices.
I didn't even realize David knew how to use a straw. Babies and straws are the cutest.
These two babies are becoming the best of friends. They love jumping in the bathtub together.
For Valentines, a young woman was selling chocolate covered roses and Lilah thought they were pretty good.
David standing and scooting around the furniture. I love watching him learn new things.
David loves to fall asleep by holding a blanket up to his nose. It's the cutest!
Lilah making her own peanut butter and jelly sandwhich.
The babies before the Valentines day dance. These two are so cute! In my unbiased opinion ofcourse :)
Lilah played and dance so much that she barey made it home.
David now sleeps on his belly. We moved him out to his crib because he is such a wiggle worm while he sleeps. He is the best sleeper which makes mama so happy every morning.
Lilah and I were invited to go up to Los Rios Ranch with the cub scouts. I love being in nature and it was even better with some friends.
We stayed a little while afterwards because we were having such a good time. So, when everyone left, we went and got ourselves some treats. Lilah chose a little cookie.
Here is a picture of Lilah from the wedding. I can see why the photographer kept following her around. She is one beautiful little girl!
This is a picture of the babies before I left for work. Some days I work the night Mike works and it makes it very stressful when he's running late. This particular day, we met in front of a Starbucks parking lot in Redlands and exchanged kids.
Lilah and David stealing daddy's burrito.
Lilah loves hanging out with her "step" cousins even before Marcia married into the family. Ben and her are the same age and have been together since nursery.
This is a picture of me at work. I am the stroke nurse. It has been such a fun role to take on but also a bit stressful as things need to be charted perfectly or we can lose our certification.
Lilah on her way to school. She loves her little friends. Some days it is harder for her to stay but once she's there, she loves it.
I love the way David crosses his feet when he sits. It's too cute! He is just the funnest, happiest baby and we are all so in love with him.
David has such a funny personality. He is always making us laugh. Here he is pretending he is in jail.
David has become quite the picky eater and doesn't like trying new things. He loves purees and crunchy things like cereals but he's not really fond of real food.
My grandma had a big birthday party and everyone was there. It was fun to see my cousins and their kids. Lilah has more cousins to play with now.
My family loves singing so karaoke was a must.
We had such a great time.
And my mom loved hanging out with her grand babies.
