Stewart Colorado summer vacation

I can't believe our Colorado trip already came and went. It seemed like it would never get here. We decided we would leave right after Mike got home from work and start our way there since we had many miles to travel. That meant that I would be doing all of the packing for the week that we would be gone. I was so nervous because Mike does all of the packing for us. Thankfully I think I did ok and didn't really forget anything during our trip.

Here's a pic of my little helper.

Driving up there we ended up catching up to my mother in law. I didn't plan on driving so far but I figured we should take advantage of Lilah sleeping so it wouldn't be such a long drive for her. I drove until about 4 in the morning and Mike woke up and switched me so I could get a little nap in. We met up with my mother and law and Katie in Grand Junction and they so graciously agreed to put Lilah in their car so I could get some sleep. I was so grateful to them and I was able to get a much needed nap in until we met up again in Costco to shop for food.

Here's a picture of when Katie hopped on Ryan's bicycle.

I couldn't believe how gorgeous Colorado was.

Finally we were one of the first ones to make it in the cabin.

Lilah checking the place out.

The after math of Jill and Jeff surprising the family with the news of a new baby BOY!

On Sunday we woke up and went to church. It was so packed we sat in the hall!

Made it interesting keeping this little girl close by with a door open to the outside.

After church we went home, changed, and went on a hike.

It was so green and beautiful.

I loved every second of it. It ended up being about a 3 hour walk and I was surprised at how well the kids did.

Julia was so sweet and was nice to let us use her carrier backpack since we had left ours in the cabin.

Lilah loved it. Guess we'll need to upgrade ours.

Enjoying a ride with daddy.

She's giving us a thumbs up here.

It was the most beautiful walk by the lake.

Seriously look at these views.

I loved Colorado!

Night time snuggles with my Lilah.

After water rafting, we met up with my sister in law and Lilah at a pizza restaurant.

We had taken our family pictures after rafting and we were all sporting our shirts.

We took over the entire restaurant!

After eating we walked down the street to a local park.

Beautiful views all around.

Colorado has the prettiest parks!

We were gonna go rock climbing after water rafting but AJ didn't find a good location so they decided not to go. Thankfully the park had a rock climbing wall and the kids spent almost the entire time climbing.

Victory dances at the top.

Water break for Lilah.

Such a great park. They even had a large lawn area for concerts.

Elizabeth's victory dance. I think every one took a turn climbing up the wall.

The next day we went to the resort.

They had alpine slides and mini golf, and lots of things for the kids to do.

The alpine slides were SO much fun.

Lilah and I hung out while daddy played.

This poor girl finally passed out and took a little snooze but got woken up by a gust of wind and a little bit of rain.

Lilah playing in the playground with daddy. She wanted Mom the whole time but mom needed a much needed break.

Since it started raining and Lilah needed to finish her nap, my sister in law gave us a ride to the cabin. Lilah got to ride front facing like a big girl and loved it!
