Ok, I have tried to change the order of these pictures three times and it is always starting at the end so bare with me.
In May, I took my first-ever solo plane trip with the kids. I didn't really think much of it as they have become pretty good flyers but as the day got closer I started to feel so much anxiety!
I was actually more nervous about driving the car out and parking it and taking the shuttle to the airplane and loading and unloading kids and bags.
I talked to the kids about the expectations and what was going to happen and they did great! David is usually a good listener and is pretty obedient so Lilah followed along. Thanks to some nice strangers, I was able to get to and from the airplane without losing anything or anyone. Oh and I had car seats in tow also, we were quite the sight!
Each kid carried their own backpack with activities and snacks.
They were good listeners and stayed close to me
They were also good listeners getting in the shuttle
And they knew just what to do as soon as they got on the plane. Lilah was not happy about sitting on her own in the other aisle but she ended up being okay with it and talked way too much with the girl next to her bossing them around about when to open their tray tables or their windows. Oh, Lilah! I just kept apologizing to the couple trying to have a relaxing flight.
Nice view
Lilah playing with playdoh and David watching a show.
Thank you Annie for taking a nap!!
Oh I forgot to mention that our plane was late. While we were waiting, Lilah and I were swinging Annie around. One of the times we swung her and she started crying and holding her wrist! I thought I had dislocated her little wrist! She kept holding her wrist and refused to move it, I felt SO bad! She was crying so much when she got on the plane. I held her and kept her arm so that it wouldn't move. I thought she would be crying the entire time but thankfully she fell asleep. I held her the entire time to keep her little hand from moving and it worked.
These are pictures from our way back home. Again, the kids did great! Even little Annie. She was fussy for a bit but did great overall.
The kids at the airport. I got a couple of "are you alone?"s hehe.
Getting all of the wiggles out prior to boarding.
On the last day we were there, Tia Priscilla let us play in her pool.
The kids had a great time and thankfully I had brought their pool stuff.
David with chocolate all over his face
Annie had a little bit of a rough time sleeping in her pack and play but thankfully she figured it out
Abuelita had all kinds of treats for us. The kids were in treat heaven.
She even built this amazing tree house! Can you believe it!
We also played in a splash pad downtown. It was a little chilly and rainy but the kids had a good time.
David had an amazing experience when Abuelito asked him to hop on his work truck with him.
Abuelito cleaning out the clogged sink
We had hotdogs outside and it started sprinkling outside so we moved everything under the patio
We also checked out some fun parks while we were there.
Lilah in her normal habitat
The kids got to ride their bikes along the track.
We also hit up some splash pads
Annie loved her Tia time
Abuelita and Abuelito even found the kids helmets and bikes! They were ready for them to come over!
Plus not to mention the amazing tree house they built.
And sand pit.
We had the best time and can't wait to go back!
