Dana Point Beach with friends

I was talking to my friend Robin the other day and she mentioned that they would be going to the beach. She invited us over which was super sweet of her but it was the day prior so I didn't think we could swing it. Well after thinking it over in the morning, we decided to just go for it.

The kids love the beach! I mean, what kid doesn't love the water. I guess some kids don't like the sand but Annie loved it so much she kept tasting it.

We had even stopped at Costco prior and grabbed a pizza to eat.

When we first got there, I had texted my friend that we were there but she didn't respond. I figured she didn't have her phone with her which was fine because the kids had a great time surfing.

After about 2 hours, I decided to try again. This time she answered and we met up with her and her family.

She was there with her family which was so nice of her to let us crash.

Happy Annie, haha!

The kids played with Ethan and his cousins.

Annie destroying our sand castles. Such a baby of the family, thing to do.

Cutest menace.

Watching my kids at the beach is one of my favorite things.

Lilah practicing some gymnastics at the beach.

Annie had had enough of Vitamin D. Silly Annie!

When we first got there, we found a spot at the beginning of the beach. We had no idea that that was were all the little kids learned to surf. Needless to say, David got serious inspo and kept asking to go surfing.

We had brought our little boogie boards with us but we definitely needed some bigger ones.

Annie kept wanting to go in the water too. Just not with her floatie. I cannot wait until all of my kids can swim!

Little Annie boogie boarding. This girl has no fear.

That smile says it all!

Lilah loves the beach too. Can you tell? It's so funny because Lilah used to love the water and David was always in the sand. Now they have switched rolls.

David waiting for a big wave to come so he can go surfing.

It was a super amazing day. There's nothing better than the beach but, beach with friends or family? Now that's just golden!

Mike usually has the kids on Saturday so I can work. He's been taking them to Home Depot and they do cute activities with them every first Saturday of the month. Here's the latest activity they did.

I love getting pictures like these at work. These kids are always having fun!

Annie showing me how tall she is. She is about 3 inches taller than Lilah was at this age so she will definitely be passing sister in height.

Lilah always taking selfies on my phone.

Annie enjoying library time with her second mom.

Like I said, these kids are always having a great time!
