Finally the moment we have been waiting for SO long. Lilah got her hearing aids. I made sure to get a baby sitter for David so I could give Lilah all of my time. I wasn't sure how she would do or react to them.
The audiologist gave her a little lion with hearing aids. His name was Leo. Lilah has been playing with him non stop since she got him.
She was a little hesitant while they were putting her hearing aids in but she let the audiologist do her thing.
Not sure about them.
Her audiologist asking her how they felt.
Haha! She wasn't too sure about them.
1 hearing aid down. 1 more to go.
Second one going in.
As we were walking out she rang the bells on the door and this was her expression. Her little smile said it all. I think she heard those bells differently for the first time.
And when we walked in the house, she heard her little shoes make tapping noises on the floor for the first time. She was so excited, she kept tapping her feet.
Lilah loved playing with her little lion.
Making Lilah wear her hearing aids has proved to be a big challenge. She is not the biggest fan of them and often pulls them off and says "Owie" We have had to bribe her with lots of screen time. She is quickly learning that she does not get to play with her tablet without having them on but i'm not sure what we will do to get her to wear them for school or any other time. I guess we will have to get creative.
