February Fun

I've loved having my mornings with my girl. Lately it's felt like just when I'm getting enough of her it's time to go to work for 2 nights. She has been learning so many new things and just has become the sweetest little helper around here.

Here she is helping me make our morning green juice. Sometimes she drinks it with me. Other times she is a hard pass.

Here is Lilah working out with me on one of the few days I had the energy to get up and do a preggo workout video. I've been really wanting to get out and move more but anytime Lilah goes down for a nap, sleeping always sounds more enticing.

This is Lilah after she came in from playing in the rain. I really have to get this girl some rain gear. I keep thinking, this is he last rain we're going to have for the year, so I don't buy her anything but then it rains again. It's been raining SO much lately. It has been a truly beautiful Spring around here.

This is Lilah at the store imitating my face. I guess I should be wearing my glasses more often instead of squinting. Lilah is pretty good about picking up toys when we first get to the store, and then she'll put them back when we're ready to check out. It's made shopping a lot easier. One of these days i'm going to get stuck with a Lilah size stuffed animal though, I can feel it.

Lilah climbing into daddy's drawer. I had curled her hair in this picture and couldn't help how cute and little she looked fitting in that tiny drawer.

33 weeks with baby boy. I've been feeling pretty good this pregnancy. I'm so lucky to have easy pregnancies I should really count my blessings. As much as Lilah is an active toddler, she has days where she'll play outside for an hour and just let me lay down on the couch. I also am able to take a nap with her most days. I know I should really enjoy that. Not sure naps exist after baby #2.

Here's an update of the nursery. I underestimate how much I WOULDN'T do this time around. Mike has literally done all of the projects in here all by himself. Things have been slowly coming along and I hope this space is ready once baby comes, even though he won't be sleeping in here for a couple of months. I just feel like once this room is done, I will be emotionally ready for the arrival of our little boy.

Here's the idea behind the room. Hope we can pull it off!

We've been working on our bedtime routine around here. I feel like we are constantly changing and evolving our routines based on Lilah. She is constantly changing and growing and we are just trying to learn along with her. She is teaching us how to be parents and I love her so much for that.

Lilah and I had to go get a glucose test and we decided to go walk around the neighborhood while we waited. She loved finding rocks.

She found her favorite yard. It was covered in rocks. It was hard to pull this girl away. She is always stealing rocks from our neighbors front yard. I love how such small simple things bring her joy.

Hanging out in the car after our walk.

Another day, another green juice.

I love that Lilah is not a picky eater. She's really good about trying most things. Sometimes she tries a new fruit or veggie and decides she doesn't like it at that moment, only for it to be her favorite the following months. Like carrots. She used to not like carrots and how she has me open the fridge and grab her some carrots with ranch. It's her favorite snack lately.

This girl would live at the park if we let her. She loves signing "swings" She lights up whenever we are reading a book and she sees a park or some swings in the pages.

Trying some sugar snap peas. She decided she likes the peas on the inside only so we open them up and she picks them out.

Sorting colors. The attention spam of a 2 year old is quite tricky! But, we try to do activities every once in a while. So fun to see them learn new things.

We've been working on our Come Follow Me lessons with Lilah. Like I said, the attention spam is pretty short so we always have to keep them short and sweet. We usually do our lessons on Saturdays since I have to work Sunday evenings. Grandma joined us this week.

We also made Valentines for our cousins.

29 week bump

This describes my life so perfectly right now. Mike says, "Seriously, i'm right here!" haha!

Since Lilah is 2 and is not saying any words yet, a friend suggested I go to the county and get her evaluated by a speech therapist. She scored normal on all other points except, speech ofcourse, so we will be starting speech therapy soon.

Oh how we love our little Lilah!

Being silly at dinner time. These was one of the last times she actually sat in a high chair. She decided she is a big girl and wants to sit at the table with us now.

Making Valentines for our neighbors.

I can't believe how big Lilah is getting. I'm so blessed to be home with her most days and cherish these moments with my growing girl. I've loved watching her grow but at the same time am sad to see her growing so fast. She's slowly becoming more independent and I both love it and hate it. Slow down, Lilah!
