30th Birthday and Baby Moon

I can't believe I am thirty. Man that came out of nowhere. A couple of years I came to the realization that 30s were going to be awesome. I'm done with school. I am married, have kids, we own a house, have my mom car. 30s is just about enjoying all of the hard work I did in my 20s and I am ok with that.

(Here's Lilah giving me my birthday present that her and daddy went shopping for)

Lilah enjoying the breakfast burrito Mike got my for my birthday. Lilah had passed on the stomach bug to daddy and I, I was feeling so great and couldn't quite eat my burrito. But it was the thought that counted!

Later on, we met up with grandma for lunch. Like I said, my stomach still wasn't feeling all that great so I just grabbed a smoothie and Lilah and grandma had cafe rio.

Who'd a thought I'd be pregnant with my little man, with my girl in my arms, in my home, loving life! I am so grateful!

After lunch grandma took Lilah home with her and I was able to go to my doctor's appointment all by myself.

Oh how this little girl loves grandma!

My sister surprised me with a flower delivery for my birthday, so thoughtful and the sweetest gesture!

For our Babymoon, my sweet mother in law took Lilah for the weekend and Mike and I escaped to a resort in Carlsbad.

First off we started off with breakfast at a popular spot in Carlsbad. It wasn't quite what we were expecting but we enjoyed being able to eat without interruptions.

Then we both had a massage. Again not what we were expecting. I got a hippy lady who have be a prenatal massage (I still think Mike gives better massages than what I got that day) and Mike got stuck with a boy, haha! He did NOT enjoy his massage either, haha!

Then finally it was time to check in to the resort. Holy beautifulness. It was definitely the nicest place we had ever stayed in.

We went and explored the court yard and since it had been drizzling the place was practically empty. It was as if we had it all to ourselves.

Time for a photo session!

We had the receptionist escort us to our room, made dinner reservations for us, and arranged for a driver to take us to dinner, talk about FANCY!

Definitely the FANCIEST dinner we have ever had. We literally had to pick out what knives we wanted for our steak and everything was a la carte. It was a first for both of us.

Listening to live music after coming back from our fancy dinner.

The next day it was beautiful out.

We went to have breakfast at a brunch spot a friend recommended. It was also ok.

We ended up the weekend going to a last minute Aladdin musical that was nearby. It was a fun show and a great ending to our little weekend getaway.

On our way home we stopped for some treats. Mike found this place that was like Michoacana knowing I would love it.

So thankful for my mother in law for taking Lilah an entire weekend so I could spend some quality time with Mike. I wish we could do this more often. It made me think that we definitely need to go on a lot more dates. I feel that now that we have Lilah, Mike and I have grown closer. We talk at night about Lilah and have really learned to appreciate precious time we have together. Happy 30th to me, here's to 30 more!
