Here is Lilah practicing wearing her backpack for the first day of school
She was so excited
Lilah goes to a specialized hard-of-hearing school so it's about a 45-minute drive from our house. We definitely had an early morning.
Covid has closed down schools for almost a year and the kids were so excited to finally go back
Had to wear her facemask to school
But the drive to school was so long that Lilah had to pee by the time we got there, haha!
Checking out the school buses
She recognized her teacher from online and was such a confident little girl.
She wasn't even sad but instead was so excited to get to go to school once again
She even remembered how to walk in a line while holding the rope
Off she goes! The kids did great while the moms watched for as long as possible
The moms taking pictures, hehe!
I had worked the night before and was pretty tired. But I wanted to take Lilah on her first day of school. Since the drive was so far, we decided to hang out at the park for the three hours that Lilah would be in school.
I slept in the truck while David and Mike played at the park.
And then we picked up our cute girl
She had a wonderful first day of school
The teacher posted some pictures of the kids and it was so fun to see her playing with her friends and doing activities.
To keep things COVID, the little kids have to wear masks and have to have their temperatures checked before walking into the school. They have very strict policies in place where they cannot have had any sniffles at all or they have to be COVID tested.
The next day while David and I waited for Lilah to get out of school, we went and had lunch and haircuts.
We also went on a walk
David was annoyed at how bumpy the ride was
My handsome little boy

Waiting for Lilah to get out
I'm so grateful Lilah gets to go to school because she is a total tornado at our house.
David loves his daddy, can ya tell?
Lilah showing us her school activity
I've been loving doing crafts with the kids
My father in law had a birthday and we decided to throw him a little birthday party
I made him a chocolate Reese's cake and it came out quite yummy
Lilah early in the morning waiting for her ride to get here. They have started her picking her up for school and it has been so nice for the both of us. She thinks it's fun to go in the van.
David's favorite breakfast is pancakes. I like to make him spinach pancakes
Another day, another activity
And as always, it ended in a messy disaster. Oh, David!
Sometimes Lilah thinks it's fun to wash dishes. I think it's fun when she washes the dishes too!
The naughtiest duo
Lilah off to school and mommy off to work
Baby burritos
Glad these two love eachother
I walked in from work and Mike was doing Lilah's hair for school
Messy babies always busy at play
David saying, Chi-chis!
