May's Act of Kindness

For this month's act of kindness we decided to give out roses to strangers. It was nearing the last day of the month and I couldn't decide on what our act of kindness would be.

When I finally decided we would give out roses I started looking for Nursing Homes around the area. By the time we bought the roses and put a little quote on them though, I thought it was probably too late and I didn't know if they'd let us in.

We drove around for a while trying to find a soccer game so we could give out flowers there but soccer season was over and we only found 1 game with a handful of people watching.

Mike was getting annoyed at this time so I thought maybe we'd go to a park and give out roses to people there. But, the park we went to didn't have many people there. It was mostly teenagers.

Finally I decided we'd go to the grocery store and hand out roses there to the people walking in.

Once I showed Lilah what to do, she immediately got on it and started giving the roses out herself.

After looking around at many quotes, I chose a quote from President Monson to attach to our roses. "Of this be sure, you do not find a happy life, you make it."

Here she is holding the last rose. We got one person who stopped and asked what we were doing. One person thought we were selling them. The girl thought it was a cute idea and even took a picture of Lilah.

Here we are back home. Lilah is always touching David. The kid knows no personal space.

As I was saying...hehe!

Playing with kinetic sand.

Teaching her baby how to go potty.

Giving her baby water. Lilah's favorite things to play with right now are her kitchen toys and her babies.
