Priscilla's High School Graduation

I can't believe my little sister has graduated from High School. We are all officially in the 'college stage' It feels as if the older we get, the closer in age we get. I'm extra proud of her for having moved TWICE during high school and never throwing a stink about it. That includes moving to a completely different state her senior year. I don't know that I would've been able to leave my friends, specially my senior year. She's a trooper!
I was excited to go visit my family in Utah, but I was also really nervous. I usually don't travel without Michael. He is my traveling buddy and we usually go every where together. This time not only did I have to go on the air plane together, but I rode the tram from San Bernardino to LA and got on the bus from the LA Union Station to LAX and managed to thankfully hop on the right air plane on time. I was so relieved to see my mom when I got to Provo!
The day after I got there I wanted to take some senior pictures. Priscilla and I were so busy chatting it up in the bathroom doing her hair and make up that we completely lost track of time. When we were all done it was 8pm already. I was super bummed. We had missed out on all the beautiful light. We decided to go any ways and take what little pictures we could. Priscilla decided to go to the Capital since it was close and it was pretty.
I was SO happy to see that there was a beautiful sunset setting in. I still don't know much about taking pictures so it took like 20 pictures to be able to get Priscilla AND the sunset in the same picture. The pictures turned out pretty good considering it was just about night time.

I loved that she got to wear this pretty red color for her cap and gown, sure made her 'pop' with the pretty back drop.

Definitely easy to take pictures when you have a cute model! Work it Prisy!

I was trying to get a picture of the entire building with her in the middle, but here were flower all down the middle of the stairs. I tried to get in the flower as much as I could and almost got eaten alive by mosquitoes :( I must have special kind of blood because no one else got it as bad as I did.

My mom really wanted a picture of her looking at the flowers, here ya go mom! :)

The day after was her graduation. We had no idea where she would be sitting since they had never practiced in that auditorium. We took a chance and sat on the right side. Since I don't have a long lens I was looking for a spot close to the stage. I found 3 little lonely chairs folded up in the very front and decided to take and chance and sit there. I thought at first that maybe they were for some important people but no one ever came and claimed them, yippie! To our surprise Priscilla was assigned a seat right in front of us! So lucky

There were a little over 500 students! I think for my high school graduation there must've been barely over 100. I sure miss that little town living. I thought the graduation would be boring but, it was pretty fun. The hardest part was waiting for Priscilla to go up and get her diploma. Once that moment finally arrived, it was all worth it.

Priscilla said she met great people this year. She would always talk about how great her friends were. They were all from different part of the world. One was from Chile, Salvador, Peru, and Priscilla from Mexico. She said she also learned a lot from them. She said one of these girls had moved here this year without knowing any English. She really admired them and I'm extra thankful for these girls being there for her and helping her have a great year.

I love that these two are little best friends, they can't ever take a normal picture when they are together.

Like I said, never a normal picture :)

When we got home we invited the Ramos family and my Tia Martha to come over and celebrate both graduates. She made the most delicious home made tostadas and made the most delicious lemon dessert. She sure loves to spoil us with her delicious food.
Whenever I go over to my mom's house she always wakes us up with the delicious smell of home made tortillas, or chorizo, or bacon. Best alarm clock ever!

The day before I left, Joel decided that we needed to re-enact a picture we had taken in a photobooth 10 years ago. Unfortunately we were all laughing so hard we never quite nailed it, but we came really close and had a great time.

Joel accidentally picked the 'Mommy Loves Me' template which ofcourse we all lost it and were laughing uncontrollably. Okay, okay it was mostly me laughing.
