Balboa Park

This month we had our very first neighbor Friendsgiving

Our cute neighbor hosted and had us all over for some yummy Thanksgiving feast. It was so nice to get together and get to know each other a little more. We also celebrated our neighbor's birthday.

Random picture of Lilah being super helpful by making her bed.

I love when she gets in a cleaning mood. It's usually the opposite.

Since Lilah had some days off from school, we decided it was time for an adventure.

We hadn't been to Balboa in a while so we decided to go walk around the park.

I remember when Mike and I came here to take our wedding pictures so it was so fun to see the kids standing in the same spot as we did many moons ago.

They had a little exhibit about the life of Jesus that was fun for the kids to see.

David said that Mary had a baby in her stomach just like mommy's stomach, which I thought was really cute.

There were unfortunately lots of bums and crazy people at the park. That was pretty unfortunate. Thankfully the kids stayed close to me so being alone with two little ones wasn't as stressful.

The babies posing for mom's picture, hehe.

We went into the botanical gardens too. Unfortunately Lilah kept being naughty and running away from me so we had to leave pretty quickly.

Running around outside seemed like a better idea.

After running around the park we headed off to the children's Discovery Center.

The kids had a great time running around in there.

There weren't many kids when we got there so it was nice.

The had taken away alot of the toys due to COVID so it wasn't as fun as it used to be but the kids still enjoyed themselves.

Lilah thought this electricity thing was hilarious.

I'm so grateful for outings with just the babies and I. It's hard but we always have a good time and I love watching them explore and learn new things.

On another note, David has become quite the sous-chef. He loves helping out in the kitchen. "Mommy, I a helper" he screams and he comes running into the kitchen to help me. He loves chopping and helping me pour things into the kitchen aid.

These kiddos off to deliver some goodies to our neighbors.

They love taking goodies over to them.

The other day I woke up and Lilah was busy washing all of the dishes. I didn't realize until later but she also re-arranged all of the cups too. Lilah being an early riser like her dad can be a good and bad thing sometimes.

Waking up early calls for a nap some days.

And when Lilah goes to school on Mondays, David gets to be an only child. So fun to have the little man all to ourselves.

He even gets to pretend nap with daddy!

David playing the piano for family home evening.

Family home evenings with little kids sometimes feels pointless but it is always worth it to hear them repeat things that they learned during our simple and small lessons. I love my little family!
