Joshua Tree

For Thanksgiving this year, my sister in law Elizabeth and her family came down from North Cal to spend the Holidays with us.

They went on some fun outings, one of them included going to Joshua Tree.

I hadn't been for years. I think Lilah may have only been 1 at the time. I never realized it was actually a national park!

We had only visited skull rock before and never realized there was so much to explore.

We had been quarantined for so long that the kids were delighted to hang out with their cousins.

Here is David doing the signs for the itsy bitsy spider and baby shark. He loves singing and doing the motions to songs.

Both my kids love the Stouvenel kids. Who wouldn't love those two!

It was such a beautiful place to explore.

David loved being carried in the backpack.

The kids loved being able to run around.

The older kids even went up bouldering.

Lilah and David enjoyed jumping off the rocks. I didn't realize how cold it was going to be. Thankfully Katie had an extra sweater that she let me borrow and I happened to take the kids sweaters with me.

There were pretty fun paths to hike on.

The kids got tired and wanted to be held. I'll have to grow another arm if I have another kid.

I love my babies!

The kids found some petroglyphs that were engraved on the rocks.

David doing his own bouldering.

And having family to help out with the babies definitely made it more enjoyable for me.

"Teese"

Love my little handsome.

Cute little Lilah wanted a picture too.

I love how beautiful the mountains are but I forgot that the desert is just as tranquil and beautiful.

We made sure to buy an annual pass so we can explore more of this beautiful place.
