Train ride to the North Pole

We had scheduled to go to Arizona with friends to go on the Polar Express train ride but unfortunately we were in Utah that weekend.
Last minute I decided to look and see if by any chance there were any train rides available that we could ride last minute.

I had looked at train rides in Ventura and never really put too much thought into it.

So I decided to look again and saw that there was a train ride on Monday night which was perfect!

Since not alot of people have Monday nights off, we were able to get last minute tickets

This is something that's great about Mike having Mondays and Tuesdays off.

When we drove in it looked like a pretty old town. Not much going on except the little ole train station.

They had a couple of decorations and we were able to have our own little photo shoot before the crowds arrived.

I made my family put on matching jammies. Hehe!

Michael is such a trooper

Lilah always touching my face!

Thankfully Lilah was in great spirits

Silly girl!

Like I said, always touching mommy's face.

And on the train we went!

We had a two seat table all to ourselves

..and a great window view

Happy girl enjoying the train ride

We were so lucky to be on the the side of the "North Pole"

We rode past Santa and then Santa jumped aboard!

He came around and said hi to all of the kids.

Lilah wanted to share her candy cane with him

Then the conductor came by

Lilah was mesmerized by his lamp

After the ride we went and visited with Santa

We had a great time riding to the North Pole

I love these new memories we get to make with our girl
As you can see she had too much fun and was wiped out for the entire ride home.
