Alex and Marsix came and visited us at our new place for the first time. It was such a great weekend. We did so much and ate so much that it was so exhausting yet we continued to eat and play :) On Saturday morning we headed out to the fair while Mike was at work. I had gotten Alex all excited about the deep fried 'everything' so he was eager to go and check it out.
First things first, cut out poster pictures
As we were walking in, there was a parade going on
The first thing you see when you walk into the fair is the never ending food places to eat. We took forever walking around trying to decide what we wanted to have for lunch since there was so much to choose from.
There was deep fried EVERYTHING. Some of the weirdest things we found was deep fried slim fast, deep fried watermelon, deep fried Klondike bars, deep fried twinkies...I mean what DIDN'T they deep frie!
We passed on the fried stuff and opted for a more normal lunch and started our food eating journey with some Nachos Supreme
Alex standing there looking at the endless possibilities
Next we got some chili cheese fries
Marsix was such a trooper riding this bull, I would've never had the courage to jump up there, go Tati!
There were also endless amounts of arcades
Our first game was throwing this ball and trying to make it bounce into the basket at the bottom
We couldn't get it in
But the guy still gave Vanellope a "free" stuffed animal. That was super nice of him
We walked and walked. There was so much to see, so much food to try out, so many rides to go on
Vanellope wanted nothing to do with our picture
Vane was not happy that her daddy was making her go on a fun ride
She was in much better spirits once the ride was over
The only deep fried thing I tried was deep fried bacon wrapped pickles, not too shabby
They had these concerts on the move. I thought this group was great
We were making fun of Marsix because she was stretching Vanellope's neck out so she would reach the 'You have to be this tall to ride' mark. Well, atleast she got on and loved it
We decided to venture into the side of the fair we still hadn't visited. To our amazement we found that it was all about the Hispanic heritage and we found ourselves some pretty delicious treats.
We walked and walked and walked like pioneers and never made it to the end of the fair! We still had a great time eating lots and lots of food. Maybe one day we'll make it to the end.
