I hate how I have to leave my little guy home all day while working long shifts. I feel that he's so lonely but I could not imagine the expense and time that would go into having another dog. What if we get another dog and he's not good like Butter. I've played around with this idea for a while but can't seem to convince myself that another dog is what we need right now. Whenever I have days off I try to spend the most time with him as possible. The other day I took him with me to run errands. He is such a happy camper riding in the car with his head out the window and his tongue hanging out. I would jump out do what I have to do and we would be on our way again. I promise I did not leave my dog in the heat for long periods of time. After running a couple of errands we thought we'd go check out a park close by since we were waiting for the people in the ACLS office to come back from lunch. Lo and behold the park had a dog section! AND it was a very nice park. Butter played with the dogs for a good while, but spent most of the time cooling off in the shade. (I hate summer!)
I snapped this picture because he looked like he was on the verge of eating the ducks. Thankfully he controlled himself and sat there very still. I kept a tight grip on him just in case. There was a lot of kids running around and the sight of a de-feathered head less duck would've been some what traumatizing, I think :)
