Lining up cars and space buns

Lilah making messes as usual. Atleast this one was cute since she got into some puppets. My sister in law sent me this box of crafts she made. She is definitely crafty!

Snack time!

Gus is a little climber. He has been known to jump on the kid's toys, to get on top of the trash can, to walk along the fence and get out of the house. He is one naughty pup! I can't ever go more than an hour without looking outside to make sure he is still there. A while ago he dug under and escaped to my neighbors house and bit one of the chickens. Let's just say our neighbors don't like us that much. 

I was trying to take a picture of Lilah's cute hair and David wanted in on it.

And then I told her to stand by the wall and David joined her too, haha! 

David is in the lining up phase and I absolutely love it. He meticulously places his cars side by side and will do it over and over again. I could just sit and watch him. We were watching cousin Ridge's baptism through zoom this day. 

So. Darn. Cute!

San Diego Safari Park

Things have been slowly opening up since the whole COVID lock down. It's so nice to finally go out places. I hate that the kids are required to wear a mask but thankfully Lilah doesn't seem to mind it now that she sees everyone else wearing one. 

I love watching my kids reactions when they see the animals they have learned about in their books. 

Lilah looking at the lion. We could hear something roaring from the other side of the park and followed the loud roar. When we got there the lion had gone to take a nap already.

It was so cool that the kids got to see them so close. 

David always leaning in to show his sister some love. 

The elephant was another favorite. 

There was a baby elephant with his mom and the kids loved watching him splash water on himself. 

So much learning. Love it!

The gorilla's were David's favorite. 

It was such a faun day. It's hard going by myself with these two kids but I love that we get to go at our own pace and just relax and go with the flow.

The other day I told David no screen time and Lilah hooked him up. 

David is still in the phase where he enjoys helping to clean. 

When mom says no snacks and no screens, don't you worry. Big sister to the rescue. 

David is so funny when he wakes up. Sometimes he doesn't want to get out of his crib quite yet and will cover himself up with a blanket. 

David loves pancakes. I think that is his favorite thing to have for breakfast.
