Mother's Day 2018

Mother's day was a little different this year. I woke up to a plant next to me and the smell of bacon.

Michael tried to have Lilah bring in a plate of breakfast for me but she was being a little stink and so she got carried in instead.

Then she laid down next to me and ate my food, haha!

Goodness I sure love her.

Eating chocolate in the car. Who's idea was this? Woops!

A couple of days prior my mom had come over to visit.

It was nice that we were able to be with her for mother's day.

She loved her Lilah time.

Uncle Joel brought us presents and even got Lilah a little something.

The cutest little sandals.

Lilah wanted them on.

Happy mother's day to me!

Perris Lake

The other day I got home from work, slept, and woke up around 3pm. Mike had mentioned that he wanted to do something so when I got up, he loaded up the car and we headed towards the lake.

I thought we were going to a different lake so I didn't even bring clothes to get wet in. I'm glad he picked this lake though because we love how clean and empty it always is.

Mike bought a National Parks annual parking pass and I think he plans on getting some good use out of it.

When we got there, Mike drove straight towards the sandy area. I forgot how much this lake reminds me of a little beach. It has a kids play area, the life guard towers, and the water is pretty clear. It's nice not having to worry about the waves or the sea weeds.

Lilah and I went to play in the kid's area while daddy went to put on his bikini, hehe

Mike had been out running errands when I woke up so he grabbed us Chipotle for lunch. We decided to eat our lunch in the lifeguard tower right next to the "Keep Off" sign

Lilah always prefers mom's food over dads. Go figure...

She's such a good little eater most days, I love it!

Lilah did NOT want to get in the water. It was too chilly for her. When i would bend over she would put her feet up by her face. It was so funny!

This is as far in the water as she got.

Lilah and I decided to lay on the sand and watch our daddy mermaid swim around

She didn't even want to go on the sand because it was cold, hehe. Made it easy to watch her! She learned the sign for bird so we had fun spotting the birds that were flying around

After Mike was done swimming, we went on a walk

They had a cute little paved area and we walked for about 30 minutes. Lilah hadn't napped so we walked back and went to grab dinner.

This is my favorite part about working night shift. I wake up and get to play with my two favorite people.

Play ball!

The other day we went to watch my cute little nephew play T-ball. It was so fun going out there and enjoying some family time. Lilah loved sitting on her chair and watching the kids play. She kept wanting to go in the field. After a fun day watching the littles play, we went to Cracker Barrel and had the yummiest lunch. I love family time!

Katie carrying all of the chairs while Ryan carried a baseball, hehe!

The cutest and most talented player

Ridge is definitely the MVP of his team

Lilah loves her cousins

Go Ridge!

Lilah is so lucky to have the sweetest grandma!

She just loves Odin!
