My pinkalicious loving girly girl turns 3!
She is my minnie me and loves to sleep.
We were trying to wake her up and she pulled the sheets on top of her, haha!
She finally saw the balloons and perked up. My Annie loves to sleep just like her mama.
Annie had birthday pancakes to celebrate.
She has grown so much this past year. She went from looking like a baby to looking like a little girl.
She also loves a good nap. She will cuddle up next to me and snooze. A girl after my own heart!
We had Sunday dinner at grandma and papas and celebrated with cousins.
Annie has the cutest little smile and knows that she is just adorable.
She loves to sing and tells me to be quiet so she can be the only one singing.
She loves all things girly, princessy, and pink.
Grandma got her a purse with accessories and she loved it!
Annie loves music. She loves dancing and singing and waves her little hips around to music when no one is watching.
Although she is the girliest girly, she will defend herself and her siblings at all cost. She can be so sassy when she wants.
I hope that means I never have to worry about her being bullied. She doesn't let anyone be mean to her siblings or her friends.
She is really close to David. They have the cutest little bond. David is very protective of his baby sis and is always helping her.
Here is David reading a book to Annie without being asked.
Sometimes Annie is being sassy and will try to run out to the front yard and David freaks out and grabs her to come back inside even though Annie is mad. I hope he always protects his sisters like that.
We bought a jumper water slide and the kids have been enjoying it.
Sometimes we'll have our neighbors over to play and jump.
Lilah loves to take my phone away and take selfies on it.
I always find a bunch of these on my phone.
David doesn't get sick very often but this month he got super sick. It's so weird to see him quiet with pink cheeks. All the school germs finally got him.
This kid is growing like a weed. Every couple of months I feel like he's growing out of his clothes. Maybe he'll be 6 feet like daddy.
More selfies from Lilah. Here's one of Gus. He is 13 years old now! He outlived Butter and it doesn't look like he'll be slowing down any time soon.
Lilah and Annie taking pics of Gus while he tries to sleep.
David kept getting worse. I thought he would be able to fight off whatever he had but one night I had him sleep with me in bed and just watched him all night. He got to the point where he was using accessory muscles to breath and I finally decided we needed to go to the ER.
Poor little dude was triaged and taken in super quick. He ended up with an albuterol treatment and an IV. He was such a trooper and watched while they put an IV in him and drew labs. This kid is just so amazing. He is strong, tough, smart and kind. I love being his mom. Thankfully he got better after a couple of hours in the ED and we were able to go home in the morning. First time for David getting so sick.
An apple from one of my students at clinical. Sometimes I just get a class that is amazing and it's so great being a teacher.
Making my students practice their skills at 4 a clock in the morning, hehe!
Since Annie turned 3, she was able to start preschool. Because she wears hearing aids, she qualified to go to the same preschool as Lilah. They both had Ms. Stephanie for their preschool teacher.
The bus usually comes and picks up Lilah and takes her to school since she lives so far away but I wanted to take Annie on her first day of school.
She was so excited and ready. She amazes me how independent and brave she is at just 3 years old.
We drove the girls to school. Lilah loves going to school in the van but she also enjoys the few times I pick her up or take her.
Annie will be going in the van eventually but there is no space right now so she is going in an Uber service that the school provides. It's super nerve wracking having her hop in an Uber with a stranger and many people probably wouldn't do it, but I'm trusting the system and thankfully the driver is tracked the whole way to school. The teacher also notifies me as soon as she gets there because it's such a weird arrangement. We are counting down the days when Annie can go in the van with Lilah because we love their driver, Marcela.
Annie doesn't really like to wear her hearing aids at home but I was surprised at how well she did at school. Here she is waiting for breakfast.
It's so weird sending little ones to school. Like how do they know where to go? Will they be brave enough to tell the teacher they need to go potty. I am so grateful to have good teachers in our lives who care for my littles ones.
Thankfully Annie potty trained herself since she was 18 months so she was all ready for school.
Annie going in her Uber ride. All of the drivers seems to be Romanian and sometimes the cars are not the cleanest. Like I said, I'm counting down the days when she can go in the van with Lilah.
I don't teach on campus any more. I just teach clinicals. I went over to see my friend Cristian teach. He was doing his thing.
We love our library. I know the kids will one day grow out of being excited to go to the library so I am thankful for this time. I love them being little although I wish so badly I had more help so it didn't feel like I was constantly drowning.
Annie and David coloring quietly at the library while we wait for Lilah to get home from school.
David loves the legos that they have there. Here he is building a gun.
