First day of school 2023-24

Lilah woke up to a double rainbow for her first day of first grade. By the time we got a picture, one had disappeared and the other was very faint but we still caught it.

Cute first grader.

It was also David's first day of TK.

We walked out just in time to walk to school with our front-door neighbors.

It's going to be so fun to see how much they all have grown at the end of the year.

David's teacher was not there during the orientation so we didn't really know where to go but it was all ok.

They even had a cute carpet for the kids.

Annie was not impressed.

David and Carolina playing.

David was most excited that they were giving out breakfast. The kids get free breakfast and lunch. It's not always the best quality but it's nice for any one who needs it.

Then we got to go in the class and meet the teacher.

Annie wanted to play too.

They had different stations and the kids were playing. David picked the blocks table.

I stayed until the last possible minute, hehe. I worried a little bit only because David can be so shy and not ask for things when he needs them. Like, asking someone to open his breakfast for him. But he seems to do well so he must be opening his mouth once in a while.

Annie eating the rest of David's breakfast.

David was very excited about school.

I LOVE that our school is one block away. And also that TK is free, hehe!

Thumbs up for a successful 1st day!

Annie and I went to the park to play while David was at school.

Annie took out her pony tail and looked like a crazy bird, hehe.

I love Albondigas so much. I should make them more often. The best part is my kids love them too.

Lilah came out wearing my high heels and my dress. She's such a character.

Annie brushing Lilah's hair.

Walking to school with our neighbors.

Annie looking at David like, "What in the world?!"

Haha! Silly David.

Beautiful rainbow while we waited for Lilah's school van to pick her up.

She knocked out when she got home from school. She leaves for school at 0645. Good thing she is an early bird like her dad.

Frozen yogurt to celebrate a new school year!

I was able to get together with friends to celebrate Lara getting married and moving away to Kuai and Lanie having a baby.

I went up to the play room and the kids had a whole feast set up.

I wish they would play nicely with each other every day. That would be so amazing!

My kids being the most irreverent children at church today. It was just us and another family at the deaf ward that day! Not sure why they think it's okay to run around like animals. It's like they know I can't yell at them in church so they take full advantage.

And Annie following along with the naughtiness.

Actually, Annie is usually the most reverent one of them all. I love her firework pony tail so much.

I started teaching a new class. It was a little bit of a rough start with the professor but it's going pretty well now.

Priscilla has been helping me with my kids a lot. It's so nice to have help. I wish I had more help so I could actually enjoy being a mom but all of the dang cleaning needs to be done 24/7. Oh well.

Pictures that Priscilla sent me.

My kids have the best aunt and uncle!

Just watching Annie enjoy her bottle. I wanted to keep this picture not only in my head but saved forever.

Sleepy Annie on our walk.
