February was a fun month. My kids make Holidays so special. They finally understand what Holidays are and get excited for them. February was a chilly month. We even got snow!
David being silly. David LOVES to read books before bedtime. He is not a happy camper when mom is too tired to read his 5 daily night time books. I hope he loves reading when he is older.
Annie is just an absolute delight. She loves to feed herself and she loves eating. She's a great little eater. I can give her an apple and she'll just eat the whole thing. She does so well with solids. She'll even spit out the peel and only eat the apple part of it.
So much fun snow! We usually get snow once a year. We love Beaumont and its beautiful weather. I love that it'll snow one day and then it'll clear out. We just want to play with it, we don't want to have to shovel anything like in Utah.
Lilah caught me and David during our bedtime reading ritual.
Dinners with the family are exhausting. As if cleaning all day and then cooking a meal wasn't hard enough. These kids are running wild around the table and fighting. I've noticed myself just scarfing down the food some days. Maybe one day it'll be easier.
I LOVE when Lilah copies me and wants to work out. She even put the bar bells on herself. She is so funny.
We have been going to a deaf ward. I don't know what is the right thing to do for Lilah as a HOH girl. I don't know if I should continue with speech and help her develop her language. Or drop speech altogether and pursue ASL. She is so smart and I don't want people around her thinking otherwise because her speech is delayed. I don't know. But, I have been taking her to a deaf ward so she can learn about deaf culture.
I took the kiddos to Mexico to visit family. They loved hanging with cousins. It's hard to take Lilah places sometimes because she's always fighting with other kids and it's embarrassing. Thankfully my mom helped me. She even picked us up over the border so it wasn't as stressful.
They made all kinds of delicious foods. My grandma really enjoyed herself on her birthday celebration. I think she was turning 85?
Annie loved cleaning the floors with her pants. She was all about exploring.
My cousin's kiddo. It's so fun to see my cousins have kids.
My mom got to have her grand kid fix too.
Annie riding in the front seat without a seatbelt. Only in Mexico.
David and our front-door neighbor have grown to be close friends. They love playing and having playdates at each other's houses.
It's been fun watching them grow up together.
I've been trying to learn ASL. I've been taking classes. It's hard to take the kids with me to classes because I'm having to constantly leave the class to attend to them but at home it's just the same.
I'm always having to leave my class because they are fighting or Annie is crying. But slowly but surely I'm learning ASL for Lilah.
As a third kid, we never even bothered putting up the baby gate. Annie just goes up and down the stairs on her belly.
Fearless girl.
Random picture of dinner. I've been trying to make dinner in the morning when I make breakfast. A perk of Lilah leaving for school at 0635 is that i'm already up and so I just get my day started. It gives me a couple of hours before David and Annie wake up.
David enjoying his dinner.
Lilah made me Valentine's craft and put it on my door. Here she is showing me.
She was proud of her work.
This girl is so fun but she also gives us a run for our money. She is stubborn and is always getting me in trouble with other people. But, once in a while, she'll actually be sweet and helpful.
For Valentine's day dinner I made a pizza and chocolate covered strawberries. I decorated the table and the kids actually sat down and made it semi enjoyable for all of us.
Annie being a good girl and enjoying her pizza.
Lilah has been liking speech therapy. Her therapist "Roni" is super cute with her. Sometimes Lilah will be rude and mean and Roni is just so patient with her. I'm grateful for how hard she works even though I'm sure Lilah has been her hardest student.
I love when these two get along. So dang cute.
They can really be the best of friends when they are not pestering each other.
Lilah showing me all of her Valentine's day goodies.
I love going to the library with David. He is so cute and he plays so well around other kids. I never have to worry about him fighting with other kids. If someone takes his toy away, he just walks away.
Lilah ready for school.
"Mom, take a picture of me."
I can always find 100 selfies of Lilah on my phone.
Annie's physical. She's a perfect little girl.
David ready to take Valentine's treats to his friends.
I try to do cute stuff with Lilah so she's not as mean. Like she asked me to paint her nails and I thought it would be cute, but 30 minutes later she had chewed off all of the nail polish because she didn't want it anymore. Oh, well.
Annie loves Lilah. Lilah is always helping her and carrying her and taking Annie out of her crib. I think "Lilah" was one of Annie's first words.
Don't let her face fool you. Lilah HATES brushing her teeth. She acts like we are torturing her every night.
Her cute jammies her friend gave her for her birthday.
