SeaWorld

My kids love to go on vacation. David is always asking to go to a hotel. He'll even ask to go to the hotel close to our house.

I won a contest!

I had entered into a contest online and to my delight, I won! I won tickets to The Plunge Swimming Pool, Sesame Street Place, Sea World and Belmont Park!

Since Mike and I work opposite days, I decided to brave it and take the kids to the swimming pool by myself. It was definitely scary but I prepped myself as much as I could and we set out to San Diego.

I had a talk with the kids about needing them to listen and they did really well all day.

Going out with three littles is definitely stressful but I want them to have so many fun experiences. They'll probably never remember how hard mom worked for them to have a great time but maybe they can look at pictures in the future and realize what a great childhood they had.

I LOVE when my kids are being friends.

The kids loved playing in the pool and the obstacle course. Tiny Lilah even competed in the obstacle race! She was deemed as the youngest competitor by the announcer. She is SO brave!

David opted to stay close to mom. He is my rule follower. Tiny Lilah kept hiding from me behind the obstacle course and kept giving me a mini heart attack. I had to drag little Annie with me to the deep end to go get Lilah and David was left in the shallow end all by himself. Needless to say I was thankful they closed the pool soon after that.
Getting ready after the pool was quite a chore. We were the last ones out. But finally, we made it out, and we went and played at Belmont park.

Having three kids definitely changes the dynamics of things because it's 3:1. But, we found some rides they could go on by themselves. Sometimes I have to hold my breath while I let them do things independently but I love to see their faces when they conquer their fears.

The kids had a blast and kept wanting to go on more rides. We rodes every ride like 3 times until my kids started to act up and I knew they were tired and it was time to leave. I had to tempt them with expensive ice cream to get them to leave. It's so hard to get everyone in the car when 1 of them is running away from me. But, regardless of small meltdowns, the day was a success!

The next morning we watched conference at home. Mike's family has a tradition of doing crepes for conference and we love it.

My sweet David has been so moody lately. Makes me so sad.

There's my silly David!

Oh, just kidding. Back to being grumpy.

Mike found conference in ASL.

The kids giving me a back massage. The best!

Another reason why Annie loves Lilah so much.

Can you tell it was a good day! Also, notice the clean car. I love nothing better than a clean car.

Another reason why Annie loves Lilah. She is such a great big sister when she wants to be.

I decided to go on another adventure solo with the kids. I dream of days when I can travel abroad with them and they can experience the world but for now, little experiences like this are enough for me.
Lilah usually makes David carry everything and refuses to help, but this day she was her sweet self!

Annie enjoyed eating dirt at the lake.

The kids had a great time at the lake. It was a pain in the butt when David had to poop and we had to walk all the way back together but other than that it was a fun day. We ended up leaving early because Annie kept insisting on crawling right into the lake every 5 minutes and I couldn't relax at all but we got to play and enjoy the sunshine.

The kids and I also went to an Easter celebration.

They had paintings, music, art and everything centered around Christ. And my kids were well-behaved. When the kids behave, I want to kiss them a million times and take them everywhere.

The kids were still talking about Jesus when we got home and it made me grateful that even though outings with them are so exhausting, that they remember them and hopefully have a good time also.
