Today started off as a busy day. Usually Lilah gets picked up by her school driver and driven the 45 minutes to her special Hard of Hearing school. But her driver took the last 2 days of school off (Monday and Tuesday) and her other little friend was on vacation as well. Instead of the district having to find another driver I decided we would just drive her the two days.
So, I woke up early. I was so tired but I needed to get not only Lilah ready but David also. He usually sleeps in at least an hour after Lilah has already left for school. So, I got the kids ready, got teacher presents up and loaded, packed Lilah's backpack and even curled her hair super cute for those last school day pictures.
The kids were pretty good on their way to school. I missed an exit going there but we were still about 10 minutes early which left some time for some school pictures. I decided it wouldn't be worth it to drive all the way home and come back since her school is only 3 hours long and the drive is 45 minutes, so David and I went to look for a park. After driving around and needing to find a bathroom (Lilah's school is not in the best area) We finally landed on Wal-Mart. (So grateful for my bathroom at home!) Lilah's school started at 0830 and they were going to have their school celebration at 0930 so we hung out until 0930 came around. David enjoyed playing with the hockey sticks and basket balls. I think he will like sports later. He loves all things sports right now.
Since parents were not allowed to attend the school celebration, we all watched through Zoom. I was surprised to see Lilah so engaged and dancing around. She definitely thrives from being around other little friends.
She was dancing so cute, it was fun seeing her.
It was fun seeing her interact with her little friends that she is always telling me about. There is this boy in her class named Elias that she ALWAYS talks about. I asked the teacher about him and she said he and Lilah love playing together.
When Lilah's performance was done, David and I went and grabbed some treats to take to the park. After walking to the car, I decided it was way too hot and David needed a haircut anyways so I took him to get his hair cut. He likes getting his hair done. He'll just sit there so serious. Sometimes he leans into the clippers like he's getting a massage or something.
He's just the handsomest little man i've ever seen.
After his haircut, David and I went on a little lunch date to Panda Express. I love my little guy so much. It's so fun to hang out with him. When we were done eating, we went and picked Lilah up from school.
Here is Lilah on her last day of Preschool. On to TK she goes. I believe she will keep the same teachers until she goes to kindergarden. I like her teachers so i'm happy about that.
Lilah likes to come home and tell me if Elias was happy or sad that day. Apparently today he was sad, hehe.
And then the horror. We got home and Lilah started on her normal self. She went to the bathroom and flushed the entire roll of toilet paper and clogged the toilet. Then later, while I was making lunch. I found that she had taken out all of the wipies to a new pack and used them to clean off David. She got them both the tub of Nutella and they were spooning out of it so she needed 100 wipes to wipe David down.
And then David and her were playing in David's room and I noticed she had turned on a show for them ( I don't even know how she knows how to do this) and I thought I had plenty of time to mop. To my surprise I found only 1 kid watching the show and the other had chopped off all of the hair off of her baby's hair and then proceded to chop her own hair.
Her beautiful blonde locks that I love curling and braiding. I was in total shock. I immediately started crying. In fact, I was full on sobbing. Her hair. All gone. On the floor. I still can't look at her. I love doing Lilah's hair. It's one of my favorite things about having a little girl.
Lilah is so naughty lately. I just can't keep up with her. She destroys everything. She breaks everything. I wished I could quit this mom gig. Today she broke me. I counted down the hours until Mike got home. She is such a difficult kid to raise. She is literally the reason why I have so many white hairs on my head. Sometimes I lay in my bed at night not wanting to go to sleep because I will have to wake up in the morning and have to do it all over again. The messes. The whining. The naughtiness. Sometimes it just feels like too much. Today was too much. My eyes are still swollen from crying. I will miss her beautiful long golden locks.
