Polar Express and Bearizona

Since we weren't able to go to the Polar Express last year, we decided to try again this year. I wouldn't think our Moab vacation and our Arizona vacation would feel so close together but it was almost like we had just unpacked our bags when it was already time to pack up again.

Driving there was hard with our little Lilah. She is not the biggest fan of the car right now. Definitely not ready for roadtrips yet.

Lilah snoozing in our hotel room. Daddy moved to a different bed in the middle of the night and Lilah fell off the bed and bonked her face on the table, poor girl!

Our first day there, we decided to go to the Deer Farm.

Thankfully my friend had gone on this vacation the week before so she gave me all of the tips of things to do.

I hadn't gotten tickets to the Deer Farm but thankfully we could just walk right in and pay at the entrance.

It was such a fun and unique place.

We were up close and personal to the very friendly Deer.

Lilah was a little hesitant but we don't blame her. The deer were way taller than her and would come right up to her asking for food.

She loved looking at all of the animals.

The deer were all about the food and they would all come right up to you to get some.

We spent most of the morning there looking at all of the animals.

After the Deer Farm, we decided we'd visit Bearizona. It wasn't Lilah's nap time yet so we wanted to make the best of our day.

Bearizona was so much fun!

We were right up close to the animals, like a drive through zoo!

Lilah looking at the wolves.

We were so close to the bears who were just lounging in the rocks.

And we were right up with the Bison too!

Look at how close he is to the cars.

After driving by and seeing the large animals, we went inside the park and walked around to see some more animals.

Checking out the cougar. It always makes me feel a little sad to see animals caged up like this. I love going to the zoo so Lilah can learn about the animals but not when they're enclosed in such a tight space:/

Lilah was having the best time walking around, picking up sticks and learning about new birds and animals.

She even got to pet the goats.

She loved the turkey.

After Bearizona we stopped by for a yummy Mexican dinner and went back to take naps at the hotel.

Lilah approved of our dinner.

That night we headed over to the Polar Express

After 2 tries, we had finally made it.

It was so much cuter than our last Polar Express. We loved all of the decorations.

Mike taught Lilah how to put her hands in her pockets and it was the cutest thing I had ever seen

Us in our matching jammies.

We finally made it on the train!

When we got there, they said they couldn't find our tickets, so we were assigned on the train that had the 2 people seats. It definitely was not our favorite since we had to separate our little family on 2 benches and we shared 1 bench with another family. We made the most out of it though.

On the train we got cookies and hot chocolate to warm up since we had been standing outside in the windy cold while we waited to board.

First up we read the Polar Express story.

Then we sang songs.

Finally we drove to the Polar Express and picked up Santa. It was the same idea as our last Polar Express which was nice because we knew what to expect.

Lilah got a little bell from Santa.

It was such a cute little trip with my little family. I loved starting this tradition and hope to do it for more years to come!
