I have 2 more Mondays left before I go back to work. I have been so anxious and scared and nervous about going back. I'm only working two days and Mike will be taking care of her most of the time. But, once a week my mother in law or Priscilla will be taking care of her. I'm not worried about her being with family, but I am worried about being able to get enough sleep before work. I have been thinking about maybe getting a baby sitter for a couple of hours so I can get some sleep before work but, I can't think of anyone who I would leave her with. There's a girl in my ward who was looking to do some baby sitting, but she has a 1 year old. I don't know if she'd be able to care for another little one. But, anyways, I hope it all works out by some miracle.
So on my second to last week off, we decided to go to Holly wood.
Even though we live so close, we try to stay as far away as possible for Los Angeles.
The traffic is always awful and so is the parking. But, we decided to brave it this one time and go to the Hollywood sign.
It was a great hike and it was stroller friendly.
I was surprised at how many people were there on a Monday morning.
Lilah was a total trooper and loved being pushed around in the stroller.
Mike and I had a wonderful time talking and enjoying the views and each other.
Now that I am going back to work, I have realized how valuable our time together is.
I always hear how when people die, the thing they regret the most is not spending enough time with their family.
I hope that I never say that. I want to make sure that we have plenty of family adventures with Lilah and that we make wonderful memories together.
Before going home we decided to go to Santa Monica Pier and wait for the traffic to die down. We had dinner and then went to the pier and bought some churros while we walked around.
We wore our little babe out! It was nice to be able to explore some more of SoCal. We forget how beautiful it is here and all that there is to do. Mike and I talked about being better about exploring California and I'm looking forward to more days on the beach.
Thanks for being such a great baby, Lilah!
