Man it had been a long time since I had been to a concert. I recently became a Blake Shelton fan from watching The Voice. He's so funny. Seems like a genuinely cool guy and his singing isn't bad either. Mike had talked about getting Blake Shelton tickets and started the hunt for them. He was going to be in the casino a block from our house but unfortunately would be there on Sunday, bummer! So, we decided to go see him in San Diego in the Sleep Train Amphitheater, which was really nice. I had almost forgotten about these tickets since we had bought them so long ago. Glad we didn't forget!
We got tickets on the lawn and thankfully found sitting right at the front.
I forgot how a concert worked. So first a couple of small bands came on. The band Dan and Shay opened up for him. They were really good.
Next came The Band Perry, which I am now a fan of too. They were so good! Since we had spots right at the front we just laid out on our blanket and enjoyed the show snuggled up.
Finally the man of the hour came on. We had stood in line for like an hour so we could get close seats on the lawn and by the time they opened the gates I was trying to win a free shirt, lost Michael, they wouldn't let me in, and then finally convinced the security lady that my husband was inside. Geez! We were able to get front lawn spots though, thank goodness. I had never been to a "redneck" concert before. There was sure a lot of drinking, thankfully Mike and I found our little corner in the lawn and had a great time enjoying the show. Blake played some of my favorite songs and man he sings great live. Towards the end of the night we decided to leave a little early because we could see some people had, had a bit to drink and also we didn't want to get stuck in traffic getting out of the concert (We've made that mistake before) We had such a good time, can't wait to do another concert.
Another fun date! Looks like fun. Your hair looks gorgeous by the way :)
