Sisters Trip 2014

I can't believe it's August already! I have been looking forward to/ dreading August for two reasons. 1) School will be starting again (boo!) and 2) We finally get to go on our Sisters Trip!
My sister in laws decided that we just don't see enough of each other. Everyone lives so far away and it's rare to have every one gather together for Holidays. Also, it would be fun to get away some time, no husbands, no kids, just us girls.
Jill found this amazing house in Cayucos. It was really a gorgeous house, pretty much on the beach.

All the rooms had big windows and the light that shined in made me itch to take a couple of pictures of this gorgeous little girl.

The weather was perfect for sitting out on the porch, enjoying the view, the company, and snacks.

Once the rest of our group got there, we went out to explore Cayucos

Our first stop was dessert. Tory had been to Cayucos before and told us about some yummy cookie store in town.

After cookies we set out to find some dinner.

We ended up in the Sea Shanty

That Julia was sure spoiled this weekend, as she should always be, of course.  I love this picture of Julia staring right into Aunt Ann's eyes, so cute!

These two are too photogenic

Party of 10 please!

Not sure what's going on in this pic, ha!

The food was very yummy, but our waiter wasn't the best. The poor woman had probably been running around all day. I ordered albondigas soup (which was really good) but she got my order wrong and brought me out a cup of soup (woman, I'm hungry!) She also got a couple of the orders wrong but it's okay, we'll let her slide this time because we had a good time taking pictures while waiting for our food to arrive.

After the Sea Shanty we went home and played a game called Pass the Popcorn in which we learned that Tory is the Queen of movies. I mean this girl knows quotes, actors, years which the movies were made, different categories.  That woman whipped us up.

On Saturday we all met up for breakfast at a Mexican Food/ Italian Food place called Martino's. Mexican and Italian mixed restaurants seemed to be very common in Cayucos. Martino's was so delicious. I had been craving Chilaquiles for a while and they had the most delicious Chilaquiles and refried beans. I think every one else really enjoyed their breakfast. Cayucos sure had good eats.

On our way home from Martino's we took the more scenic route and walked on the beach.

The girls! Well, almost. We're missing one...Emily! Hope she can join us next year

There were so many yummy treats in Cayucos. It was all about relaxing, eating, playing, eating, napping and... yup you guessed it, eating some more :D

There was a lot of jewelry, art and antique stores in Cayucos.

After antiquing for a while, we met every one back at the house to play some more card games.

While we waited for the rest of the group to join us we played a couple of rounds of Uno

So, Tory was teaching us all how to make a #sparrowface. This is Jill working on her sparrow face. "Am I doing it right?"

Tory was being a very encouraging teacher by laughing at her face. Might need to work on it a little more, Jill.

This is Beeb's attempt... almost there Elizabeth, keep up the good work!

Once every body had made it back , we played a game called "Blind Karaoke" It's pretty much what it sounds like. You wear a mask, turn up the volume on your phone really loud while wearing earphones, and sing to your audience... Heee-larious!

Jill showing us how it's done!

We all took turns being the entertainers

Erin also put on a great show for us. She is Katie's best friend and we were happy that she was able to make it out to our Sisters Trip

This is Katie, which I've learned is a very passionate singer. Here she is singing
"I'M PROUD.....

"...TO BE AN AMERICAN!"

"AND I'D GLADLY STAND UUUP!"

She did great!

Go Ann!

But the Music Award goes to Marcia Stewart for having the over all best performance with
"AAAAAAHHH SIGUEñAAAAAA"

The audience loved her! She was a natural

Even more hilarious was that she asked us to join us when we new the lyrics...um I don't think anybody knows that the lyrics to that song!

"INGOñABA NICHI A MAMABA"

Go Marcia!

"AAAAAAHHH SIGUENAAA"

Grammy winning performance!

It was nerve racking to be up in front of people, but everyone took turns laughing at each other so it was all good

This is Mary, Ann's sister in law. She just finished nursing school! I constantly beg her for all and any nursing tips she can give me. Definitely some one to look up to. Go Mary!

Oh man Tory had us cracking up. First of all cause she was rapping...

 ..and second of all..

...because she has no sense of direction and ended up singing to the TV screen

That was a great game! Thanks for teaching us, Jill

That night before dinner we had a photo session at the pier. These ladies were so patient with me taking all these pictures, but time goes by so fast that I feel it an obligation to take pictures at all time and in all places. Plus, they are all so photogenic so why not.

Tory (on the left) isn't a sister in law, but she mine as well be because Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas eves are not the same if Tory is not around. She's also super talented and quite pleasant to hang out with :)
Jill (on the right) lives in Dallas Texas and is a Pediatrics ICU nurse. She is very smart and also pleasant to be around, hehe! She's also responsible for getting the ball rolling with our weekend extravaganza, thanks Bob!

Katie in her natural state, haha!

I don't think any one new what was going on in this picture, which is why I made sure it got uploaded
Those are some serious sparrow faces

That gorgeous red haired girl would be Karin, she is responsible for that darling little babe and 5 handsome boys. She's amazing.
Here's Elizabeth being my model. She's a school teacher but is currently taking on the task of raising 2 Princesses and a future BYU football player

Some thing on your mind, Tory?

Baby Julia was so pleasant during the entire trip, such a good girl!

This gorgeous babe is Ann, she's in nursing school too. One of the smartest gals I know and also one of the most talented. If I can make it through school, we should be graduating nursing school in the same month, yippie!

For dinner that night we went to an Italian place not too far from the house, I think this was my favorite place, or was it Martino's... mmm... it was all just so delicious!

The girl on the right is Katie, she's responsible for Odin and Ridgy boy. She's an amazing mama, how she does it, I still haven't figured it out but I hope to be a great mom like her some day.

Aren't my sister in laws just gorgeous?

Best friends forever. Even wore matching outfits, now that's true friendship right there.

Jules, sound asleep during game night.

The next morning Ann made us all this delicious breakfast. She always cooks so delicious, one of her many, many talents.

Sad we had to leave, but so glad we were able to have our little sisters weekend extravaganza

See you ladies next year!
