This year was my first year going to the LA County Fair. I've always heard of the amazing food and fun so I wanted to give it a try. When we first got there I couldn't believe how many people were there. The only fairs I've been to are down in El Centro and Holtville and usually It's every body in town, which means I know every one and their moms. This was no ordinary fair though. When we just got there we had to buy our tickets and go through a medal detector.... what?! Kinda shocking but then Mike reminded me we were in "LA County Fair" Crazy! When we walked in we decided to look around and see what we wanted to do.
All the food stands looked SOO good. There was all kinds of food, fried food, candy, steak, hotdogs, Mexican food, and just about deep fried everything.
After getting some food in our systems we went over to the "circus". These girls were from Circus Circus. I couldn't believe how young they were. I think the youngest one was probably 15. They were all so strong, pretty, athletic, and obviously had no fear of heights, it was awesome!
This was the youngest girl of them all, look at her fly!
So many photo ops, hehe.
We also saw a clown show. I've decided clowns are scary. I couldn't believe this guy. This was definitely a PG 13 show. I think he was a little nutty. One time he threw a bottle at a kid and smacked him in the arm. I think he didn't realize how hard he would hit him because he came over to the kid and apologized but then later did it to another lady, crazy!
Oh and also, clowns aren't very funny. Mike and I were mostly laughing because we couldn't believe some of the things he said and did.
We ate so much and it was all so delicious! Here's one of our snacks. Mike got a boring pizza and I had a ceviche tostada and it was deeelicious!
We had such a fun time at the fair. We couldn't get on any rides because I was preggo at the time but we'll definitely have to come back and try the rides and some more deep fried things.
