Bridal Shower

This weekend we threw a bridal shower for one of Mike's good friend's fiance. We had never met her before since she is from Pennsylvania. She was such a trooper for flying out here to meet her family and let us shower her. She was so sweet too. I would've been so scared and nervous to be thousands of miles away from home and hang out with a bunch of strangers, what a trooper! We all really liked and her and quickly realized why Taylor thought she was "the one" Marcia volunteered to have the shower at her house. Katie was in charge of invitations, Marcia was in charge of food, and I was in charge of the decorations and games. Of course I left it all until last minute. I seem to have the best ideas when I'm under pressure (at least that's my excuse)

Thankfully most of my sister in laws were in town so I had help with all the last minute decorating. Plus it was fun to sit around the table and mingle while doing crafts.

I woke up the day of and thought we needed a cute banner to put up (Procrastination at its best:)

This little guest book tree was such a pain in the butt, but boy was it cute when it was finished!

We played bridal shower bingo. We were supposed to fill up our own bingo cards of words she would say while telling her love story. It was such a great idea from Ann. We got to get to know the bride while playing a game, it was perfect.
Next we made wedding dresses out of toilet paper. This game never gets old. It's so fun to see how creative people are. Kaitlyn's dress almost looked like a real dress!

After our games the future Mrs. Rohm opened her presents. Since they would be flying back home we asked for people to bring gift cards. I think she's going to have fun shopping when she gets home!

It was such a fun crowd! Every one was so fun during the games. It was a mini Stewart-Rohm reunion and there was a lot of mingling and giggling. I think it's so great that my family and the Rohms grew up almost as family and they still are such great friends.

I loved meeting Kara. She is such a sweet girl and I'm excited for her and Taylor to start the married life together!

Welcome to the 20's

Happy Birthday to Joel! This year we were able to celebrate with him since he had some "business" to do in San Bernardino. He came up the week before his birthday so we celebrated with food of course. He had never been to Chipotle and we both had never been to the small A La Minute ice cream shop in Redlands so we decided to go there for dessert. They had very interesting flavors and they made their ice cream using liquid nitrogen, which was really interesting. They had flavors like avocado, orange and honey, and fancy shmancy chocolates. It was definitely a different experience but I don't think I would go back. I guess I'm not that fancy :)

Since I would be working Saturday, (his actual birthday) I celebrated with him on Friday. I bought him 2 shirts since the boy always wants to look "fly" (I guess it's a 20 year old guy thing:) He really liked them.

He requested to have his dinner celebration at Jersey's, his favorite pizza joint. As always, it was finger licking good.

I'm not sure what's going on in this picture. It looks like we're up to something...probably.

On Saturday (November 9th) Walt invited him over to watch some football, so he decided to stay with us one more night. He said Marcia made him a delicious dinner. He sure loves her cooking! But really, who doesn't. He felt so spoiled and came home all smiles. I married into the nicest family. Even my brother gets spoiled on his birthday! He loves the Stewarts too. He really, really looks up to Walt, like a lot. Which I am glad, because if there's any one I really look up to, it's my in laws. We had a good conversation at Jersey's about going back to school. I hope he really takes Walt's advice or even better, go on a mission. My fingers are crossed that he'll make good choices. So proud of the "man" Joel has become. It was just yesterday I was walking him with my mom to preschool. Time flies! Anyways, hope you had a good birthday "little" brother! :D

Aurantia Dog Park

Our doggies love going to the park. It's probably their all time favorite thing to do other than going on walks. I always see people taking pictures by the bridge and thought we could take some pictures with our doggies. Well, we failed miserably. I had a guy take some pictures with my phone and either the dogs both were not looking or it was so blurry you couldn't tell what was what. Oh well, one of these days we're going to have to take some professional pictures there.

These two have such different personalities. One doesn't know how to be anything but happy and the other one can be a grumpy pants sometimes, can you guess which is which? We still love them both, even though we had to kiss our backyard goodbye when they became outside doggies...sigh...
My cute boys!

Conrad turns 8

Conrad turned eight! So glad we were able to make it for his baptism. We left Friday night and got there around 2AM Saturday morning. Slept for a couple of hours and went to Conrad's baptism at 9AM. In their ward they do Stake baptisms so there were some other girls in their white dresses getting ready to celebrate their big day too. It was such a nice program. Conrad's cousins played primary songs while he and his dad got ready.
Cousin love!

Bear hugs for everyone :)

Oh my goodness look at Ridge's smile, he is in love with his oldest cousin Drew.

My favoritests in-laws of all time with the eight year old

Here's Con with all of his grandfathers and even a great grandfather

Twins! Jill and Katie went matchy, matchy to the baptism. I didn't even notice until they took pictures together.

Sisters picture. We were missing Karin from Texas and Emily from..um Ohio?

Photobombers

Thanks to Studio C we had a couple of photobombers while trying to take pictures

Gracie got to be in the picture for getting caught photobombing

Conrad did such a great job, I hadn't even seen him in the picture until now, ha!

Thanks for the rabbit ears, Jill

My sisters are so much fun!

Elizabeth has an Amazing back yard, not only is it beautiful, it is also fun.

Elizabeth spoiled us rotten while we were at her house. All of my sister in-laws are such amazing cooks, just like their mama. She made us such yummy food.

In the afternoon the girls had soccer practice so we went to cheer for them.
Here are the cheerleaders

Even when you throw a tantrum with dirt on your face Odin, you are still cute. (Future blackmail)

Go Gracie, Go!

Good job Millie!

Here's Drew on the side lines

While having dinner we watched Studio C. It's a lot funnier to watch it with Tyler and hear him burst out in laughter.
Oh and our family LOVES to play Monopoly Deal.

Thanks so much for having us over Monsons and happy birthday to Conrad :)
