Ghetty Villa

My wonderful sister in law, Elizabeth, came down to visit us as their last trip before school starts. We wanted to take the kids to the Ghetty museum in LA but unfortunately it was closed on Mondays so we went over to the Ghetty Villa, which was a lot smaller version of the Ghetty. The kids were still delighted.
When we first walked in, the lady at the front desk gave us a scavenger hunt paper where we had to find certain art pieces and learn about them. The kids loved going around trying to be the first to find the art pieces. Kept them entertained the entire time! They were also so well behaved with hands behind their backs the entire time, talked quietly while in the galleries, really made for a pleasant trip.

Some of the art pieces where so off the wall and funny, here are the boys learning about some mermaid goddesses, hehe. They look so intrigued!

Here's Gracie pointing out she found another piece to our scavenger puzzle. She was my buddy the entire time. I am in love with this girly girl!

And we did it, we completed the last piece of the puzzle, go Gracie!

She is just too much fun, look at that cute smile!

I told Gracie to go and be a statute, this is what she came up with, hehe. Which is which?
Then Millie wanted in on the fun. It was such a beautiful sunny day. Perfect weather.

Okay, this made me and Elizabeth laugh. Monkey sees as monkey does. Millie saw this stranger laying on the benches and decided to go join him. This girl is so funny! Gotta love 3 year olds! They come up with the funniest things

The family center was probably the kid's favorite part. They had these shadows where you went and dressed up like warriors, which the kids LOVED

It was really fun to watch too. I spy with my little eye a piggy tailed warrior :)

There were also vases where you could draw on them like they used to back in the day to tell stories.

Even Mike joined in on the fun

Ta-da!

Behind the scenes of the huge shadow box. Made me think this would be a great FHE activity one day.

Millie's creation. Millie "Thish ish my fami-LEE"

Then I beheaded my husband! Mwahaha!

Such beautiful gardens, If only this was my back yard, sigh...

After playing around in the garden, we headed over to Papa's favorite Mexican food fast food in LA. Tito's Tacos. They used to come here all the time after going to LA temple, before our Redlands temple was built. Lots of memories.

What a day! I was so tired at the end of the day ready for a nap. I'm so glad Elizabeth brought the kids so that we were able to hang out with them before our busy school schedule starts. Next time we'll have to go visit you guys!
