Holidays

This year was my first year ever not spending the Holidays with my family so things were a bit different. It was the first time I had to work for the holidays also, which I decided I didn't like too much. Christmas with the Stewarts I learned, consists of singing, eating, little kids running around eating candy, and more eating. Alot like what my own family does. This year I got to see the little kids act out the Nativity scene. Little Isaac and Gracie, the two year olds in the family, were Mary and Joseph. Mary was very delighted to hold baby Jesus, Joseph I think was tired of pulling a donkey around all day. Never the less, we were successfully able to get through the nativity scene and every one seemed to have a great time. Christmas morning Elizabeth made a very delicious breakfast for everyone. And then it was time to open the presents. In the Mendoza family usually the presents are opened at mid night so that was a little different. But It was just as great to see all the little ones be ever so excited for the gifts that Santa had brought them on Christmas Day. We even had more presents and candies in our stockings which was also different but great. My favorite was Gracie posing for the camera holding a tooth brush from her stocking, while chocolate flowed down her mouth, it was priceless. After Christmas I had a very well deserved mini vacation from school and work and then it was time to celebrate New Years eve. For new years we went up to Utah to "celebrate the life of Great grandma J" It was truly the best funeral I have ever been too. Then the rest of the day was spent watching Back to the Future, eating and playing games. On our way back from utah we made a stop at las vegas which was alot of fun. We were just stopping to say hi but it just so happened to be that there was a birthday party so I got to see everyone. Mike and I had a lot of fun, we played games, my uncles made everyone laugh, Michael won the balloon game, and every one was delighted to see Michael and I. Now after so much fun, it's time to go back to the routine of 5 hrs of sleep, school, work, homework, eat, 5 hrs of sleep etc, etc.
P.S. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!.... is what terrorists say, Merry Christmas every one :D
