December is always such a world wind of events. Mom are out there fighting for their lives, counting presents, decorating, making sure the kids are dressed for whatever school event is happening that week and all while trying to keep it churchy. Heaven help me.
I love how much the kids love winter time though. They sure make it more magical.
This year Annie was not old enough to transition into Sunbeams. But, her cute little friends Rivers and Owen left nursery for a couple of minutes each day to go sit in primary with the big kids. Owen loves Annie so much, so she helped bring him along since he'll do anything she does.
The kids love primary. Since I am the second counselor in primary, we usually head over a little earlier to help set up. It's been fun being in primary since I get to experience it with the kids. I hate having callings and extra responsibilities but it's ok since I rather be in there anyway.
Annie loves all things girly. She loves princess dresses, makeup and sparkly shoes. Gosh she is just the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life. As annoying as it is when she ruins all of my makeup, I love having her around with her sweet little voice and tiny toddler fingers.
My kids fight so much but when they play nicely together it's the best thing in the entire world.
We've been doing more renovations in the kitchen. Since the cabinets were brown, I decided our walls needed to be lighter. If you give a mouse a cookie...
Abuelita dropped off this suitcase filled with travel toys and the girls are obsessed. They played with it for hours.
More renovation boxes= more fun.
This time they built a tunnel from box to box.
More travel suitcase fun. It was seriously the cutest toy.
Annie is such a big girl, she dresses all by herself. My mom got the girls matching shoes and they love them.
The suitcase fun never ends.
And some action figures for David.
I love when my kids play together nicely. It's the best! Lilah is a great artist and I love to watch her color. She draws the cutest things.
She is also fiercely independent. Sometimes I wake up and she'll be making everyone breakfast.
Eggs are crazy expensive right now and this girl will cook up a dozen eggs in one sitting. But I love how capable she is.
Some more of Lilah artist side. For Christmas she got a 3D pen and she made a skateboard.
Crazy Lilah. Most days she loves to act way older than her age and doesn't like being touched or hugged or kissed. But once in a while she let's her silly side come out and I love it!
I love our backyard. I swear I have to make the kids play outside. They don't like to play with toys anymore. It's so sad. Their childhood is so short, I want them to enjoy it to the fullest.
Tia Priscilla gave David a soccer net. He loves playing soccer with his friends at school. It's the highlight of his day every school day.
Annie up and ready to play.
Lilah has been using her 3D pen and made me some glasses.
For Christmas morning we went and had breakfast at Marcia's house. She always cooks the most delicious food.
The kids playing some more with the 3D pen. It was a great gift for Lilah.
Annie loves playing with her babies.
Christmas morning opening presents.
Goodies from aunt Katie and the Stouvenel crew.
Why are kids sleeping just the cutest thing in the whole world.
Footsteps left by Santa.
Santa cookies.
Santa leaves his present in the chimney. He's so busy he just throws them down the chimney and moves on to the next house.
Watching movies at grandma and papa's house. Lilah cuddles up next to grandma as usual.
We love grandma's house. She makes us feel so welcome.
Marcia had the kids make cookies and Doug made us hot cocoa.
I found Marcia playing in the play room with the kids. She is seriously the best grandma in the entire world.
Annie wearing cousin Lucy's dress. Thanks cousin Lucy!
My friend brought me Indonesian food.
Another friend brought banana bread.
