The other day I got home from work, slept, and woke up around 3pm. Mike had mentioned that he wanted to do something so when I got up, he loaded up the car and we headed towards the lake.
I thought we were going to a different lake so I didn't even bring clothes to get wet in. I'm glad he picked this lake though because we love how clean and empty it always is.
Mike bought a National Parks annual parking pass and I think he plans on getting some good use out of it.
When we got there, Mike drove straight towards the sandy area. I forgot how much this lake reminds me of a little beach. It has a kids play area, the life guard towers, and the water is pretty clear. It's nice not having to worry about the waves or the sea weeds.
Lilah and I went to play in the kid's area while daddy went to put on his bikini, hehe
Mike had been out running errands when I woke up so he grabbed us Chipotle for lunch. We decided to eat our lunch in the lifeguard tower right next to the "Keep Off" sign
Lilah always prefers mom's food over dads. Go figure...
She's such a good little eater most days, I love it!
Lilah did NOT want to get in the water. It was too chilly for her. When i would bend over she would put her feet up by her face. It was so funny!
This is as far in the water as she got.
Lilah and I decided to lay on the sand and watch our daddy mermaid swim around
She didn't even want to go on the sand because it was cold, hehe. Made it easy to watch her! She learned the sign for bird so we had fun spotting the birds that were flying around
After Mike was done swimming, we went on a walk
They had a cute little paved area and we walked for about 30 minutes. Lilah hadn't napped so we walked back and went to grab dinner.
This is my favorite part about working night shift. I wake up and get to play with my two favorite people.
