Halloween

For Halloween this year we were the Peter Pan crew. Halloween is not my favorite but I felt like I needed to do something special since it would be Lilah's first Halloween.

The weekend before we went to our church trunk or treat. There wasn't that many people and it was hard because Lilah wanted to crawl around so we didn't stay long. Also we were there late and all the treats and food were gone. Michael had made some chilli so we decided to go home and eat since we were hungry.

On the night of Halloween we didn't do our traditional trick or treat run and In n out with our friends since they moved to Illinois. Oh how I miss those Merrells! We decided to just stay home and pass out candy. Michael set up black lights in the front porch (Since I didn't decorate because did I mention I don't like Halloween?) and we put lawn chairs outside and waited for trick or treaters. It was our first time hanging out in our neighborhood and it wasn't bad. I think next year we'll trick or treat in the streets around us without going anywhere.

I'm going to have to up my game and actually celebrate Holidays now. Lilah didn't nap when she was supposed to and I wasn't about to let her nap while Halloween trick or treating was going on so she was a little crabby. She enjoyed the kids coming up to our door though. Another Holiday in the books!

First beach trip - Huntington Beach

We had been to the beach before but, this was Lilah's first time playing in the sand. We had a couple days left of summer and decided to have a little family day at Huntington beach.

Mike has been dying to have an excuse to buy one of these bike seats for Lilah and he was so excited to finally get it.

She was having quite a fun time in there.

This was Lilah's first time in the sand.

She loved the way the sand felt

She was so cute playing in it.

She was laughing and giggling the entire time.

Look at that cute little smile

So happy!

Daddy kept making sand castles on her feet and Lilah kept trying to go in for a bite

Rubbing sand all over her face.

I kept catching her trying to eat sand and the minute I looked away she took a bite out of the sand

She was not a fan, hehe!

Gross, Lilah!

I just can't get enough of you baby!

Playing in the water for a little while because it was a little chilly. She didn't seem to mind at all.

Time to go home!

Lilah is all about throwing things on the floor these days. She would throw her little phone on the floor and then look at me to pick it up. Too smart!

She is so funny!

Pulling everything out of the beach bag and throwing it on the floor.

Before going home we decided to take one last family ride.

Sweet girl was ready for bed.

We ended the night getting some popsicles and treats.

The girl at the counter was so sweet and got Lilah a tiny baby sized popsicle. It was so sweet of her!

Perfect ending to a perfect night!
