Our first stop as tourists was the Kerry Park. I thought it would be this ginormous park but it was rather small. The only thing big were the views of the entire city.
It was so crazy because when we went across the border, they had us get out of the car and go into the customs office. I think they thought it was weird that we had a rental and were only going to be in Canada for a couple of hours? Anyways we were giggling there sitting awkwardly like criminals while they ran a back ground check on us. At first I was a little intimidated but then I kept seeing confused people come into the office and I was relieved that we weren't the only ones being questioned.
The science world looked pretty neat so we headed there for our first stop. It was a great park and I loved how many people were out and about even doing yoga on the grass.
We drove around the city. The weather was so nice. I had seriously planned for like 10 degree weather. Mike laughed at me because I packed so much warm clothes and all I ended up using were my small sweaters. I guess I have no idea how to live in the cold.
Our next stop was Stanley park.
We enjoyed letting our legs stretch and walking through all that greenery. Seriously who knew there were so many green trees in the world. I'm used to dry palm trees.
By the time sunset came around we headed back into the city.
We went up into the Vancouver lookout. Oh boy I didn't realize how weezy I got being up so high. I could seriously feel the place moving. I had to hold on to Mike the whole time
We didn't stay there too long because it was making me more scared the longer we got there. We decided to head back down and walk around the city.
Our next stop was Gas Town.
When we were through walking around Gas Town we headed back to the Science World Center to check it out during night time.
After grabbing some last pictures we decided it was time to head back to Seattle.
The next day we headed out to the University of Washington. It was like a real life Harry Potter school. I love old architecture and their buildings were so cool.
I wanted to take all the pictures with the cherry blooms.
After exploring the school we went down to visit the space needle which I didn't even realize was like 2 blocks from our hotel room.
On our way there we saw the duck tours and went to check it out.
The new fire station after the old one burned down along with most of the city.
We had a duck that was being thrown around on the boat and someone accidentally tossed it to the street. Here's a nice pedestrian tossing it back on the boat.
I didn't realize Seattle was so artsy fartsy. Apparently every building must use so much of their budget to include the arts.
We loved the tour. We got to see a great part of the city.
After our fun tour we went back to the space needle and walked around.
Chinhuly Garden
In the evening we took the monorail to the Pike Market Place.
We were there a little too late for treats as all the shops were already closing but we walked down the street and found the most delicious Mexican food. I seriously had the best posole. Who knew you could find delicious Mexican food in Washington?

The next day we headed out to do the Underground Rail Road Tour.
I love history and it was so great to be able to walk through these walls and go back in time.
I could not believe the history of this city. The fact that it was burned down and they decided to build it one story up was amazing. The fact that the ceilings were the new ground levels blew my mind.

I couldn't believe the unbelievably nasty sewage problem these people had. Can you imagine going to the potty and getting blasted with poo, yuck!
And the fact that poo used to wash up to the buildings, eeww!
The Underground Tour was so cool. It was hard to wrap my mind around the fact that the basement used to be the ground level, crazy!
I can't believe the history of this city and their sewage problems. I've never heard of a city being built one story up, but thank goodness they did.
Last stop before heading home was the Seattle Washington Temple. Mike and I walked around and took pictures before saying goodbye to Seattle.
It was another great trip for the books. I love all the quality time that we get to spend together and all of these fun places that we have explored and have yet to explore.
