Mani Monday

The Monsons came over to visit us for Christmas. I wanted to take my cute nieces out for a girl's day out. After lunch at CafĂ© Rio I asked them if they wanted to get some manicures, and they immediately said, Yes!
They were so excited, it was so cute
Gracie picked  pink with Frozen blue and glitter
Millie chose purple with some sparkles
Our cute nails! I loved spending time with these sweet girls. It's so fun having nieces :)

Puppy Love

Seriously how cute are these furry guys. For the Christmas gift exchange, the Monsons got Butter and Gus some toys and lots of yummy treats. Here they are enjoying their Christmas presents.
I love my little cuddle buddy. He always ends up on my lap one way or another.
Giving me some heart eyes
He loves having his paws massaged. He usually passes out as soon as I start rubbing his cute little paws. It's been that way since he was a wee little pup, I love it!
Girl's best friend.

Sunday Funday

I love that we live so close to my inlaws. I love Sundays and having dinner as a family and ending the night with a board game. When I have to work on Sunday, it seriously throws off my whole week and I miss seeing my family. I will always cherish these Sunday Fun Days at Walt and Marcia's. They love to spoil us with yummy food and lots of love.

Christmas

For Christmas this year we went over to visit my mom. Utah is just so beautiful in the winter, well any time really. Loved the winter wonderland we flew over.
While we were walking out of our airline, I spotted Tanner Mangum, BYU quarter back. Michael didn't even recognize him! What kind of BYU fan is he anyways? I asked him if he would take a picture with us so we could make our family jealous, he chuckled and agreed. Such a nice guy! He asked us for our names and then shook our hands. I was a little star struck.
Armando, my mom and Priscilla picked us up from the airport. Our first stop was a yummy breakfast place.
Later on in the day we went over to visit grandpa Stewart and Grandpa Nielson, which happened to be at the same VA facility.
Here's Mike with Gpa Stewart. Such a pleasant guy! He always greets us with so much love even when he doesn't even recognize us any more. His Alzheimer is about 10 second memory. By the end of the day EVERYONE in the room knew our life story because we had to repeat ourselves so much and talk so loud, hehe
It was a great day visiting family.
The next day we headed over to the Olympic Center to Skate. We were going to go to play in the snow but decided just to do something small instead. I wished the Ice Caves would've been open already, that would've been a blast.
Mike pretending to take a picture of us but was taking a selfie instead.
Skating with the girls
I'm happy to report that I did not fall. I usually hang on to Mike because if I ever fell I don't think I could get up.
Later on we took our family to see the lights at Temple Square. They're catholic and have only lived in Utah for a couple of months so they were in shock that there was such a pretty place. They seriously do such a great job.

Then we went home to open presents and have dinner.

This is our favorite dessert ever that my mom makes, soooo good!
Christmas morning we woke up to the prettiest sight. It was a white Christmas for sure!
Merry Christmas!

It was a quick trip but Mike and I both agreed that it was the perfect time. We left Christmas day and celebrated Christmas nigh with Mike's family.
Our last sight of the beautiful Utah snow...until next year!

Star Wars

Joel invited us to watch Star Wars the other day. We sure caught the force! It was such a great movie, I was so sad when it was over.
Love these boys of mine

Driving home

We took some pics on our way home from San Francisco. Mike and I love going on road trips. We've got a great little setup where we both take turns driving while the other plays on their phone or does whatever. It's super relaxing and we love stopping to smell the roses ( Oh and take pictures too)
We stopped at the farm in Bakersfield for some yummy treats. Turns out my shirt was ripped in the back and instead of flashing every one with my G's, we just decided to head back on the road.
There are always beautiful views.

Natalie's shower

One of my church besties is having a little girl. I'm so happy that we lived in Highland and that they combined the wards so that I could meet Natalie. We love going out for lunch and always have such a great time together. I had started working and had been wanting to throw her a shower since October. I totally lost track of time and before I knew it, it was 1 week before Christmas. I texted her to see if she had, had a shower already or if her family was throwing her a shower and she said no. I immediately got he ball rolling and a week later threw her a baby shower.
She was nervous about having to be on the spot, but it turned out to be a fun day
Love this cute girl and I'm so thankful for the great friendship that we share
