For Christmas this year we went over to visit my mom. Utah is just so beautiful in the winter, well any time really. Loved the winter wonderland we flew over.
While we were walking out of our airline, I spotted Tanner Mangum, BYU quarter back. Michael didn't even recognize him! What kind of BYU fan is he anyways? I asked him if he would take a picture with us so we could make our family jealous, he chuckled and agreed. Such a nice guy! He asked us for our names and then shook our hands. I was a little star struck.
Armando, my mom and Priscilla picked us up from the airport. Our first stop was a yummy breakfast place.
Later on in the day we went over to visit grandpa Stewart and Grandpa Nielson, which happened to be at the same VA facility.
Here's Mike with Gpa Stewart. Such a pleasant guy! He always greets us with so much love even when he doesn't even recognize us any more. His Alzheimer is about 10 second memory. By the end of the day EVERYONE in the room knew our life story because we had to repeat ourselves so much and talk so loud, hehe
It was a great day visiting family.
The next day we headed over to the Olympic Center to Skate. We were going to go to play in the snow but decided just to do something small instead. I wished the Ice Caves would've been open already, that would've been a blast.
Mike pretending to take a picture of us but was taking a selfie instead.

I'm happy to report that I did not fall. I usually hang on to Mike because if I ever fell I don't think I could get up.
Later on we took our family to see the lights at Temple Square. They're catholic and have only lived in Utah for a couple of months so they were in shock that there was such a pretty place. They seriously do such a great job.
Then we went home to open presents and have dinner.
This is our favorite dessert ever that my mom makes, soooo good!
Christmas morning we woke up to the prettiest sight. It was a white Christmas for sure!
Merry Christmas!
It was a quick trip but Mike and I both agreed that it was the perfect time. We left Christmas day and celebrated Christmas nigh with Mike's family.
Our last sight of the beautiful Utah snow...until next year!
