California Adventure

This past weekend my mom, sister and brother came up to celebrate a late mother's day. Since their 2fer tickets were about to expire we decided to go to California Adventure. Everytime I go with them anywhere I have alot of firsts. Since mike has been to Disney alot of times he doesn't believe in waiting in lines. When i go with my brother and sister they don't care so we actually get to go on the "cool" rides. Plus we made sure to plan our fast passes so that we would get on the most rides
I don't remember ever getting on the Grizzly River Run, We sure had fun on this one!

Towe of Terror: I had no idea what to expect for this ride. I new it drops you but didn't know how far, and everytime i would look at that building, i thought man that sure is high. The first few seconds of the ride I thought my intestines were gonna come out of my mouth. I wasn't expecting it to drop us so fast. My mom even got on this ride, partly because she didn't know what it was and didn't want to stand outside by herself. We laughed through out the whole thing while holding on to our dear lives.

Just being silly.
The swings felt so good on our feet since we had been walking all day long.
We also went on the roller coaster. I haden't been on it for long. It wasn't as scary as it looked. Even my mom and sister enjoyed it. It's hard to see us from the blurr of the picture but we're all smiling.
I'd never been on the bugs life3D movie. This was always greatly enjoyed because we got to sit. Even though it was for "kids" it was fun. We didn't know about the "special effects" which caught us off guard :)

Thank goodness for the fun pass. We would've been making line for this all day.
"Lick it and pass it"
I never knew what this show was. Now I do.

Silly hat pictures while waiting for Mike to get there.
Some more pictures while waiting for Mike.
Finally he met up with us. Apparently it was a "blackout" da so they wouldn't let him in. Funny thing, cause iIwalked right in. Actually the lady just asked me if I had down graded. I said no, she thought for a second, then let me in. Mike is to shy and takes no for an answer. Hence that's why he married me. After waiting outside and not going in I told him to go upgrade his pass, duh. So he was able to meet with us for the night. I wished we could do that more often. But mom has to get the day off and my brother and sister have to be "sick" for the day also. Oh well.

Bienvenidos a Mexico!

To celebrate an early anniversary, this past week Mike and I went on the Baja Cruise. It was SO much fun. When we got back from the cruise and got into our car, Mike and I decided we were going to start saving for another one.

The first Day we got there we just explored around the ship. That thing was so big, I never figured out how to get around without Michael. First stop was Catalina Island. There we went Kayaking, it was so much fun. We had a great tour guide. I was afraid I would see a shark, but the only thing we saw were dolphins and from far away. Once we kayaked for a while we stopped to swim and walk around the beach. Catalina was a cute little island with lots of shops and a nice little private beach. The weather was perfect also.

The next day was Ensenada. I'd never been to that side of Ensenada before. I've only been to the blow hole and to the flee market. Mike said he didn't need to see the Bufadora this time so we went horse back riding instead. When we got off the boat a couple of cowboys were waiting for our group. We got on a bus and headed for Los Bandidos Ranch. It was beautiful. The view was great. I'd never ridden a horse before, it's scary stuff. Thankfully the most we did was trotting. I loved it. AND half of our group was from BYU. Interesting.

After going up the hills we headed back to the ranch. The tour guide was another one of my favorite part. He was So great. We had the option of getting left downtown or going to the ship, so ofcourse we went downtown. I never noticed how crazy those sellers can get. We didn't buy anything though. We walked around for a long time until we found some fish tacos that I approved of. (I didn't want to go to the restaurants downtown because it was too crowded and over priced) Our search was definately worth it.

Once our tummies were full Mike kept talking about how cool it would be to rent quads and go around town. I was hesitant at first because riding quads on the street and in Mexico just sounded scary. But Ensenada is nothing like Mexicali or Tijuana. There's not that many cars, the cars are polite to pedestrians and will actually stop for you, and the whole city was very nice. Since we haden't spent that much money anyways, we decided to rent a quad, ride around town, and ride on the beach. It was a great idea.

The last day was a day on the boat. The boat was SO much fun, there was always a ton of stuff to do. Not to mention, the FOOD was so delicious. The buffet had soo many options and our sit down dinner was always SO fancy. I want to upload tons and tons of pictures on here because we really lived it up this past week. On the boat there was alot of games shows, dance shows, Battle of the sexes, How well do you know your spouse game, (Mike went up for battle of the sexes but I didn't take a picture because the camera was in his pocket and they had split up boys and girls, plus I didn't know he had gone up until I looked on stage), comedy shows, Karaoke (Which I did for the first time!) dancing, swimming, jacuzzi, lots of eating, our steward would hide in our closet and everytime we would come back from hanging out on the boat our bed was made and a towel gorilla or towel monkey would be there waiting on our bed. We also made friends, our dinner table buddies were great. They were all young couples (most of them not married) but they were very fun to hang out with. We had such a great time on the Carnival. Actually having time to spend with each other was also really nice since we're always on the go and with such different schedules. For example: We got home from the cruise, ran errands, went to cut my hair, deposit our tax money (YES) and when we got home Michael started packing for a camping trip which he should be back tomorrow for, but I will be working. The beauty of life, always on the go go go, thank goodness for cruises and vacations :)

Las Vegas

This weekend Mike, Joel, Priscilla and I went to Las Vegas for my cousin's quinceanera. We really had a blast. At one point Mike said "Holy cow are we ever gonna get any sleep" We got there friday at 5 just in time for my sister to practice the "surprise dance" and the waltz with the other girls. (I have like 20 girl cousins and just my brother and a couple of boys in our family) the party was supposed to start at 6 but if you ever go to a mexican Anything you know that ain't happening. We danced and partied until they turned the lights on, like we usually do at all of our family gatherings, music and food are a must. I had a blast specially because i got to see my family. Even Mike danced all night long. We got home around 1:30 saturday morning and we hung out with my aunt and uncle until about 3 am just laughing and having a good time. Saturday morning we slept in my uncle treated us to the buffet. The same buffet we went to when i went through the temple. While we were at the buffet, my cousin called me and said they were celebrating my little cousin's birthday at the skating ring. Skating was fun. It took me a while to get used to it, thankfully Michael was nice and helped me stay on my two feet because I did not want to fall. After skating, Yazmin, Yesica, their kids and my aunt and us all went to Caesar Palace to hang out. I was so tired but didn't want to miss out on the fun. While we were walking around my cousin invited us to go dancing. Five minutes later my uncle called me and said he had rented movies for when we got home. Holy cow so much to do! It was 11pm already so we decided just to watch movies. Sunday morning we woke up a little late for church, but thankfully we made it just in time to take the sacrament. Literally a minute more we would've missed it. What a great weekend, my feet were hurting, my eyes couldn't stay open, and I had a great time. I love going to las vegas!
